Good stuff R, I saw Dan Willson many times in the formative years of Withered Hand.
Great songwriter, unique voice and interesting guy. Here is one of his early songs being used as a soundtrack to an early Blair Young film made at a fun Fence Records weekend.

999 tonight at Bannermans.I presume it's on,nobody has told me otherwise.A top punk band,who never did reach the hights of the Pistols,Jam ,Buzzcocks,or Clash still produced great single after great single.They've only made two lineup changes in all this time.Nick Cash used to be a Kilburn and the High Roads member, a band I mentioned the other day.They've simply put their heads down and kept going because it's a living,with no little amount of success Stateside.You can hear it in the likes of Green Day and Blink 182.Anyway looking forward to tonight.

Seen them play the Citrus Club about 15 years ago, “we’re 999, get a loadda this!” then just battered through the tracks 🤟🏻
 
Next two gigs are Hayseed Dixie on September 30 th followed by Jah Wobble a couple of days later, both at the MacArts centre in Galashiels
 
Going to see The Menzingers again in October at the Barras which should be good. Was at Dave Hause the other night, venue was good, he was just alright.

22nd. Japanese Breakfast - Old Fruitmarket, Glasgow

November:

22nd. Yard Act - QMU, Glasgow

December:

4th. The Cure - Hydro, Glasgow

I've seen HMHB and The Cure before and they're always excellent, so know what to expect there. Me and the missus meeting up with a few uni pals I've not seen in years for the HMHB one and making it a weekend piss-up so that should be a good un.

Yard Act and Japanese Breakfast are two of my favourite new acts so looking forward to seeing them for the first time. Also, I've never been to a gig in the Old Fruitmarket so that's another venue to tick off the list.
 
HMHB always great. Saw Yard Act at Mono about six months ago, just after the album came out - they are good too with a decent bit of banter with the crowd between songs.
Stereolab in November at SWG3 looks like my next gig.

I'm going to see Ferocious Dog sometime.I didn't get the tickets.I'll be more clear when I see Newhoose on Sat'dy.
 
Off in a min to see Cockney Rebel here in Haarlem. They did ask me through the gift of song to come and see them I think it was, so hopefully they smile while snafflin a Mr Soft ice cream at halftime.
 
Got tickets to see noisy Japanese punkers Otoboke Beaver next month at St Lukes in Glasgow. I'm expecting this one to be pretty bananas. They're an acquired taste but I love 'em.

A friend of mine flew out to Australia last week to see The Stranglers in concert. He goes everywhere to see them. What he didn’t say before he left was that he was also travelling to meet his birth mother, for the first time since the early 60s when he was born.
 
Saw sabaton with my boys on Tuesday. Tremendous live. Support were baby metal and Lordi were really good. First time on the floor area at the hydro and it's huge. As usual every time I got a good view some unit would block my view. Should have all guys of a certain height at the back. No fair on us short arses. Bruce at the end of May then the beat with dave wakeling and the rezillos in November.
 
Going to see my nephews band from his college music course at the Voodoo Rooms on Thursday night.
Then it's Brucie boy at Murrayfield on 30th May....and possibly at Villa Park, Birmingham in June.

You should be in for a treat with Pulp. I've seen them a couple of times and they've never disappointed.

Though I am bit miffed to see them playing live at all considering I travelled to the Sheffield Motorpoint Arena to see their supposed "last ever UK gig".
