What you're eating. What you're drinking. What you're watching?

Just back from a Saintsbury shop. Finished a prawn curry, yum. Bought a couple of bottles of old peculiar and my first bottle of McGuigans Shiraz. Heading out the garden to Erse it. Talking of erses mines is tender, bike riding for chunky monkeys is damaging.

Bain’s mince round, potato slices and sweet potato fries. Was unable to eat until late afternoon.

Approaching 24hrs without a bevvy.

God bless x

Big shout out for 1875, my sister in law from Stornoway and I like a cheeky red, we both suffer heartburn after
The McGuigan Shiraz is very fruity and rich, read after it goes well with beef or BBQ. Good stuff. Mines was a £5.10 good
The fiery one has a bottle of Harris gin I bought her in the room ( keeping it for her twin sisters visit) cost me £18.75 ( good no ) for Gordon's gin. She's spraffing Shiite to the neighbour now and I'm looking at a bottle of Bowmore. Teehee This could be messy.

Hard day painting the metal hand railings and garden metal washing line poles, all bottle green, major weeding round the garden perimeter fencing, ripped hands from weeding round the gooseberry bush, feck that a dangerous weapon. Knackered, came up to Home made steak pie, carrots and boiled tatties. Back out to chill with a bottle of unpasteurized old peculiar.

Honey roast ham, salad, vine tomatoes, sweetcorn, boiled egg, beetroot and chilli Hasselbeck tatties washed down with gf Stella and the rest of a bottle of Vin Alba Malbec

Been a bit unwell the last few days (over fucking eating I hear you all say). So no been arsed posting, had a chicken balti, rice, pickles and poppadoms for tea, still feeling a bit squint. With the virus going on, ye dinnae have shite it when you feel a bit rotten.

Get well soon.

Good few hours spent in the garden today. Grass cut and got tore in to the weeding I’ve been putting off for weeks on end. My auld man isn’t able to fire through it as he used to so I’ve pretty much taken up duties. Gives you satisfaction seeing a difference. Spend more time on it tomorrow seeing it’s meant to be decent weather again.

Anyway, more importantly, scran - on the menu for dinner tonight was Beef Olives stuffed with haggis along with onions, gravy and mashed tattie with hints of Dijon mustard through it. Superb.

Glass of wine or two has been had also watching shite tele.

Hope you're feeling better Mark.

Last night was a very basic fish finger sandwich with salad and mayo with some oven chips. Was pretty tidy.

Intending to make Risotto tonight if I can find Arborio rice. There's a middle class lockdown problem right there. That and flour.

Feeling a bit more human today, thanks, one cough and you feel like painting a red cross on your door, its weird.

They had Risotto Rice in Morrisons last Friday.

Back at work at my bunker but planning a long walk in the warm sun in a wee while. Its Spanish week in Lidl from tomorrow, they are doing a kilo of paella rice for a couple of quid.

Lunch, nae idea yet, tea will be what is called in Spain a "pepito" or bocadillo/ montadito Serranito (de Cerdo). Pork loin, serrano ham, grilled green pepper and alioli all on a crusty baguette. Or chorizo sausages and chips. No decided yet, both comfort foods.

A pepito is also a slang word for a wee boaby.

Didnae have the pepitos. Made chorizo sausage with linguini in a tomato, basil and garlic sauce with a glass of water and Ricky Ross on the radio.

Mrs S has a haddock stir fry, just to make it difficult for me, as ever.

Sea bass with harissa, jersey royals, green beans, capers , brocolli, can of red stripe.

Going to have a cup of tea and banana loaf shortly

Thai banquet, Magnum (Classic), Midget gems (Lion) & water (still not sparkling).

Spent the day relaxing in the garden. Cracking day.

Dinner - Pasta with a nice tomato and basil pesto sauce and cheese and tomato bread. Basic. Nice enough ?

Did five salads/veg dishes for lunch, carrots and sweet potatoes and broccoli with all kinds of tossing in red wine vinegar and thinly sliced radishes and toasted sesame seeds and so on. Felt very righteous. And then at three o clock i ate a huge ham sandwich with shedloads of butter because I was famished :)

Watched Masha and The Bear with my youngest. Wouldn't necessarily recommend it unless you're hanging out with a prickly five year old.

Been there and done that, Daniel Tiger was the other go to ?

For those that like Spanish food, its Spanish week at Lidl, some superb bargains to be had, Jamon Serrano Reserva for £1.29, Ensaimadas from Mallorca, Various Pinchos, Chovi Alioli, half the price of Morrisons and superb on a roll with a pork fillet, mini tortillas, large tortillas, paella rice £1.49 a kilo (its £1.50 for 500 grammes in Morrisons), the cheeses are superb, the mixed pack for a couple of quid is lovely. Palmeras biscuits, the chocolate ones are superb, less than a quid! The frozen tapas in the wee cazuelas (clay bowls) are lovely for a quick scran. The Albariño white wine at £6.25 is decent if chilled first. Some good portugese chourico if that is your thing. Si te encanta la comida española, get yer cule to Lidl!
