What you're eating. What you're drinking. What you're watching?

Flat mushrooms with tomato salsa, pickled jalapenos, herbs a fuckton of black pepper topped with strong grated cheddar

I had beans on toast with HP sauce for lunch (as my american pal said, no every lunch has to be bacchhanal).

Chicken and Noodles in a Vegetable Stir Fry with extra mange toute in a oyster, cyboe and garlic sauce.

Had chicken kebab delivered from Rig, marvellous.

They were having a party in ma street. And were they social distancing? I dinnae think so.

Had a bad heid this morn, I blame the beer from the local shop(which shall remain nameless). It's always dodgy. So stocked up at Tesco.

Got ma letter from Boris in the post. Oh f*ck, forgot I sterilise it before I handled it!

Got an Indian from Guatams at Meadowbank tonight, chilli garlic chicken. Was pretty nice.
Wasabi peas and brewgooder clean water lager watching 2010 masters highlights for pudding

I chuck a bit of worcester sauce in most savoury things I cook I have to say, its in my stir fry before the kikkoman and oyster sauce. Love its sharpness.

Photos below, forgot to take one of the full pan. Best pals 12 year old is a great baker, she has just delivered a Nutella Filled Victoria sponge.

Just remembered made banana and chocolate cake earlier on with my daughter will have a slice of that shortly

A few points:

Aldi are a great addition to the supermarkets that we have on offer. They were originally lumped together in peoples minds along with Lidl as no frills cheap retailer. Maybe that was deserved initially as they have since upped their game and developed more now that they understand the market and work with local suppliers? They’ve got a pretty decent reputation now though which is well deserved.

Those beers are a great example where they offer quality from local producers and not just the mass produced goods from super power firms looking for a monopoly and to kill off the competition.

Will definitely try as much as possible when this is over to support local retailers, producers and hookers.

I am with you, I prefer Aldi's produce to any other supermarket, well apart from wine, rarely find a good red in Aldi.

Lucky to have quite a few really good farms shop near me,might pay a wee touch extra but the quality is much better.
For example I can't really remember seeing many double yolk eggs in my life, now get mine from a farm and get at least 2 per half dozen.
Now only really use supermarkets for household goods and wine

Heating up my Mum's speciality, roast beef in gravy, cannae celebrate with her on her first Easter without my Dad, this is the nearest we can do (she has her own portion). Serving it with my own roast tatties with crushed garlic cloves, sprouts with pancetta and green beans with more garlic. Will be drinking my favourite McGuigans Shiraz having just watched the very touching Andrea Bocelli Concert from an empty Doumo on You Tube. Happy times and sad times combined.

Steak medallions, carrots and cheesy mashed tatties.
Brawsome.
Now enjoying a bottle of Yellowtail malbec, wine of the gods.*

*god being Buddah as I'm a fat slapheid

Been doing the garden, cleaning gutters, painting etc all morning. Rewarded myself with last nights roast beef in gravy on a brioiche roll with dijon mustard. Now having a slice of Victoria Sponge with Nutella instead of jam and a cup of coffee.

The dear old egg, the older generations went to work on an egg. Egg in a cup, butter, salt and pepper, or with salad cream, or mayo and a touch of mustard. My favorite work piece. I'm going to snack on that for lunch and pretend to work in the garden.

I'm very particular about eggs and chicken. Drives my wife mental. Get my eggs from a local lad who delivers them, free range/organic. £1.90 for 6.
Chicken, will also only buy free range organic. Comparing prices in morrisons, battery standard chicken maybe costs £5/£6, free range organic ones maybe £13/£14 for the same size. Can get 3 meals out of one, plus stock for Risotto so I reckon it's still pretty good value, but it's a small protest against the way chickens are raised.
I read recently that 90% of the worlds entire bird population is battery chickens. Fuck that.

David Attenborough in his recent talk in Edinburgh stated that 82% of worlds birds are caged chickens, dinnae eat chicken but might have boiled eggs and toast for lunch..

As a Christian never got a chocolate egg, but do admit to having a " lust of the eyes and belly for this thread" in admiration for the working class Hibby I'm having a baked tattie with egg mayo, told her to leave the dirt on the spud. Yum.

Today I had ground pork in a non synthetic casing, served over a puree of la pomme de terre, with a drizzle of sauce au jus de viande. Washed down with a decadent Meiomi Pinot Noir from the foothills of Santa Barbara County.

Aye, bangers and mash wi a glass o red.

Spectacular.
