What you're eating. What you're drinking. What you're watching?

I made a Spanish chicken casserole, chicken, chorizo, red peppers and red onions, paprika, red wine and salt and pepper, served with sliced tatties and med veg, a bar of cadbury's whole nut for pudding, a glass of the good McGuigans Shiraz and a swatch of the bounce whilst listening to Absolute on the transistor.
Spanish chicken aye rub it in why don’t you!

Egg in a cup with toast, 3 mugs of coffee :40:

Couple of soft/mid boiled eggs chopped up in a cup. Plenty of black pepper and sea salt.
Hot buttered toast.
Food of the fcukin Gods.
My dad used to make that for me, and I did the same for my lads.

Plain but excellent fare.
Fcuk Nigella Lawson.

Indeed. What a great day eh?
Boiled seasoned and chopped eggs.
Hot buttered toast.
Then fcuking Nigella.

Finishing off the night watching episodes of the splendid Pheonix Nights and sipping Dunbar's finest.

As you know, I am a piccalilli afficianado. I like the one above but find it a bit sweet, try the bigger jar of Morrisons Piccalilli, it has a more mustardy pickley taste. The Haywards Sweet Piccalilli is lovely too.

I hadn’t had piccalilli for years until reading the almost constant references by 1875.... it’s a regular on the shopping list now.

I may even try brown sauce in my lentil soup next time. Should it be a wee doad of sauce or a sploosh?

Try the vegan tattie salad and coleslaw from Aldi, its superb. Not the time of year for lintil Soup for me, when it is, a scoosh of HP will be applied too.

I assume the salads just lack mayo to make them vegan?

Tea time. XXXL size spicy salad. Layer of baby spinach, sliced tomatoes, chopped shallots, sliced beetroot, chilli flakes, layer of chopped little gem lettuce, jalapeno humus, V mayonnaise and sprinkle of chia seeds.

Afters.....Oat Stout.

Rump steak for lunch and dinner with different accompaniments. Done in new cast iron pan and they were the business.

Went to Maqbools Asian supermarket to stock up on a few things as rarely up that way these days. Took a risk with the unpackaged pick n mix samosas in current times but they’re the damage. Few different breads, large bottle of jalapeño sauce and one of their many Bombay mix type offerings.

Hitting the outdoor tables at Ye Olde Inn tomorrow for lunch as decent weather forecast providing wind isn’t a spoiler ?. These 50% discount wankers will be back to Greggs for their lunch I hope ?

*Nae wind jokes welcomed

Duvel 33cl (8.5%) Own pasta dish from hell so no excuses (strangely pleasing), sadness for Lukaku who I think is a great trier while the Dutch commentator went on and on and on and oooonnnn about Luc de Jong as Seville pulled the carpet out from under Conti's furious, crazy gaze.

Sitting in a boozer in Kilcreggan Bay.
Visited the place yesterday evening.
They were selling grub.
We decided to come back tonight .....
Yup. No grub tonight.
Eaten the table......

Made a stuffed roast chicken, kilted sausages, yorkies, roast tatties, sweetcorn, med veg, green beans in garlic and gravy, with a nice shiraz, a Hibs win and the Champions League on the telly.

Watched the Hibs game while taking down some chicken wings, jalapeño poppers and a Hawaiian pizza (judge me if you want but you’re wrong!) from papa johns, was tidy. Washed it down with a Fanta, cheap day done right.
