Got a bottle of McGuigans reserve cab sav but enjoying the beer too much so might have it tomorrow.

My oldest laddie, who clearly took his cooking genes from his auld man, has made a chilli with a twist, its chunks of lean steak instead of mince, peppers, beans and whole chillies laced though it. It has been in the slow cooker since midday today and the aroma is magnificient. He likes his stuff spicy, could be a fiery and possibly guffy evening ahead.

Laddie brought back haddock from Morrison's at the gyle this morning have it with some Baxters baby beets. Sweltering in the garden. Loads of bottled water. Some lentil soup made with butchers ham ribs.

Can’t kick my addiction to yellow tail shiraz, hey ho.
Just watched Squadron 303 on Sky movies, same story as “Hurricane” on Netflix.
Enjoyed both films immensely, I found both made me feel quite emotional.
Anyone with an interest in the Battle of Britain and beautiful aircraft like the Hurricane and Spitfire will love both ??

Over the past week I have caught a couple of things on PBS America about the second world war and was pleasantly surprised to hear and see contributions from the eminently knowledgeable father of a poster on this thread (and Easter Road regular). Good stuff!
