Red card in the play off was an absolute travesty and a shocking decision.
 
If Hibs are looking in the bargain basement ( which we probably, understandably are) I would take a punt on Stevie May. I'd sooner have him than Doidge. Skilful, entertaining player who can score goals . A club like Hibs might just get the best out of him .
His hair is a bit dodgy , which a certain member on here will no doubt comment on 😋, but the guy can certainly play nice football .

I'd rather take a punt on Darren Day than Stevie May.

May has scored an average of five league goals a season for the last four seasons with St. Johnstone.

That's more sair than flair IMHO.

I love a flair player, but all flair and no substance doesn’t work. If we have Boyle and Youan providing the quality and the bit of flash, we need someone to do the hard work.

No Doidge btw, but certainly not Stevie fecking May either!

We have certainly spent a fair bit of cash already.
I'm pleased with what we have done so far in this window, both in terms of the quality of the players we have brought in, and the ones who have been allowed to leave. I'd rather have kept Kevin Nisbet but he wanted to try English football so good luck to him.
We still need at least one central defender and we need to replace the goals of the departed Nisbet.
I think you are right, there probably isn't much left.
I do think they will be hoping the Doig transfer goes through because we will get a substantial windfall from that, and they will also be hoping to move on Chris Doidge because it's clear to me that the manager doesn't rate him. Why else would he punt him off on loan to Kilmarnock in January ?
If we can get the Doig money in and get a few more off the books (including Doidge) then I am hopeful we can bring in the additional quality we definitely still need for the season ahead in the shape of a striker and central defenders.

May scored 22 goals in 124 games for the Super Js. Doidge scored 21 goals in 86 games for Hibs. Doidge is a better striker, that's pretty clear to see.

I'm not saying S May is George Best . I was just throwing a name out there which might improve our situation .
I think May is a better option than Doidge, I would rather watch the former than the latter . I also think S May would convert a lot of the chances we make , as oppose to Doidge , who is one of the strangest guys I have ever seen play for Hibs . Strange in the way , that he does not look like a pro football player , yet he very occasionally shows some sublime touches , and scores the most uncomfortable goals . I like the guy , he gives his all for the club I love .
S May , is an intelligent football player (imo) , I would rather he was in my squad than big Doidge .
If we didn't have differing opinions , this great site wouldn't exist .
I don't think C Doidge would score many goals for St J .
 
I think we`ll end up with Bruce Anderson, nothing concrete just seen his name mentioned a few times here and there , not really seen much of him but does score goals

I think we’ll end up with someone we’ve never heard of. Hibs rarely go for strikers from other Scottish Premiership teams.
 
Hibs are actively trying to move Doidge.
But his wages are a stumbling block for other clubs.

Motherwell have been interested and made contact, but as said, they can't match his wages here and he wants paid.
