Rumour.

Not a rumour but recall we were linked with Conor McGrandles who appears to be out of favour at Charlton… still on the recruitment teams pad?

Biggest issue with McGrandles is injuries ... guess what ... , yeah he's injured at the moment.
No touchie Hibees.

Didn’t realise it was that bad but in that case, yeah agreed hopefully not on the radar! I’m not even sure it’s the type of player we want. Only recall him at Falkirk (clearly a while back) and thought he was a bit lightweight - we’ve already got a blowy crisp packet and certainly don’t need an injured one!

I wouldn’t be surprised if someone comes in for him mate. If I was him I would want away as far as possible from the club.

Fingers crossed he thinks he can keep it up to the summer and really grab himself a bumper deal.

If he keeps his goal a game average in the back half, in this squad he'll be hot property.

Probably be away first chance he gets , why would he want to hang around a club going absolutely nowhere ?
And who could honestly blame him , our club is a shambles from top to bottom

His agent will be busy. He's made it clear previously he wants gone. And he's made it clear he doesn't want to sign any new deal. Good to enjoy him while he's here. He's keeping the clown in his job.

I am now dreading next Sunday. We have no bottle and a manager who couldn’t pick his nose. An imposter who should gtf out my club as quickly as possible.
I share a lot of the feelings about signings, but surely the late goal yesterday showed we had bottle? We didn't just chuck it.

Possibly. It also shows we have one genuine quality player who can paper over the cracks. Not sure that’s enough for a derby mind.

According to LJ, Cadden and Hanlon will be back next week. Miller will have been training for 9 days and JDH 17 days by then.
That should see us with round pegs in round holes at the back which will make a big difference.
Combine that with Nisbet up front and I'm hopeful.

Hanlon and Miller don’t fill me with any great hope. Cadden has been playing right back all season but IMO he’s not great defensively.

At least it should mean less square pegs and round holes.

IMHO this lot are as bad as Butchers lot that went down. Except for Kevin. Thank God we have him. 5 goals in 2 games is outstanding. Forget the fancy Dan stuff and just put the boot in. They have done it to us on numerous occasions. I’m

It’s not the despair. I can cope with that. It’s the hope I can’t stand.

Cadden is always a compromise. You get his offensive abilities but also get his defensive limitations.
A fit Hanlon is good. So often he has been asked to and has agreed to play whist carrying injuries which isn't clever.
As for Miller, none of us know what to expect. Cadden will play if fit.

I might be tempted to play 3-5-2 if everyone is fit

Marshall

Porteous Bushiri Hanlon

Cadden Campbell Magennis JDH McGeady

Nisbet McKirdy

Starting McKirdy in a derby after it went so well last time, a random selection at wing back to continue with the square pegs in round holes approach… hiya Lee!

I agree McKirdy has been Tam Kite on both his starts.

If you play McKirdy you need a player that can find his runs and McGeady is probably the only one that can do that.
The same goes for Melkersen. No point in playing them if you can't find them when they make clever runs.
Problem with McKirdy and Melkerson is they come on as late subs when McGeady is knackered and about to be substituted as per yesterday.

What team would you play?

I wouldn’t play McKirdy. He needs to spend about 6 months training with Arnold Schwarzenegger before he’s physically ready to start a game in the Scottish Premiership. He’s in incredible poor nick for a professional footballer, then again it just proves how poor the standard really is in the English lower leagues.

Nisbet has come back from his injury a different animal physically. He is now much more effective as the lone striker, therefore we don’t need to sacrifice the midfield or have people out of position at the back to accommodate a second striker.

I’d stick with the 433 but play players in their actual positions. McGeady on the left wing, Youan on the right wing, Campbell in midfield, a right back at right back…

No going to name an eleven as the game is a week away, plenty time for injuries and transfers to change the complexion of the team.

Porto could be away before this game. Stevenson just in front of the back three, leaving both Cadden and Youan to stay on the wings, keeping Campbell Magennis McGeady in the midfield, with Nisbet on his own, McKirdy just runs about like a little school boy and will get bullied by them, playing Megwa who is a natural defender leaving Campbell to be more effective in midfield.

Lewis is sadly passed it.

Two Medals has been absolutely brilliant for Hibs for a number of years.
Perhaps age is catching up.
If his performance tails because of that it will give some numpties the excuse to say “I’ve been saying he’s rubbish for years” completely oblivious to the irony.
I've always been a fan of Lewis, not only as a player but how he conducts himself as a professional and as a human.
I really hope I'm wrong but this seems a season too far
