NHS Fife tribunal around trans doctor

This did make me laugh 🤣🤣🤣 Fucking hell, honestly

It does raise a question I don't really want to Google...

Who does evaluate the health of a trans womans vagina? I'd imagine you'd still need stirrups and a speculum to check if all's well down there regardless of whether it was created naturally or by a surgeon?

Heads really do need to roll at NHS Fife.

Cannae see that happening Sancho. But I can see them getting healthy pay offs to leave.

There is no justification for the dafties persecuting a worker.

And the nurses union need to get their priorities right.

Protect the worker and not back up the bosses.

There’s something you’re not getting though it’s not your fault.
If you’ve never worked in a company or organisation such as the NHS, police, fire service or military etc (you get the idea) it isn’t about protecting individuals, it’s about loyalty to the entity. The ‘job’ must be protected over anything or anyone. It’s an unwritten rule of membership and nothing physical that can be touched. It’s an idea, a belief in the entity. That the entity makes thd rules that cannot be questioned.

The Peggie case didn’t just question individuals, it questioned the doctrine of the entity. If individuals in management are found to have put the greatness of the entity in peril they will be discarded for the greater good of the company.

Be interesting to see if the discarded get binned without compensation then.

So make a James Hunt of a job and get rewarded then?

Something no right about that.

Like I said, if you’ve never worked in that kind of business then you can’t comprehend it.
It’s much like peoples loyalty to the monarchy. It isn’t about loyalty to Cha, Wullie or any of the rest of them as mere mortals, it’s the idea of the monarchy, an entity that exists in the mind that isn’t physical or can be touched.

Does the Scottish govt. Not have any blame in this . It is NHS Scotland is it not , was NHS Scotland not adhering to the govts. Legislation . I.e. the greens input at the time
Swinney and co are still not happy with the high courts decision are they not 🤷‍♂️

Scottish government has full confidence in the leadership of NHS Fife apparently...

Yep , that’s my point because they are carrying out their wishes, basically, they will have confidence in them . They will obviously get back in as well next summer 😩

Is it not the same in most companies. These companies will pay off who needs binning to protect the brand. Wrong but that's the way it works.

Managers getting pay offs when they're failing.

Players getting pay offs when their contracts are cut short and dumped.

It happens all over the place.

That's quite alarming though I guess explains a whole lot of things.

Why do people submit to this cultishness?

As I said, if you’ve never worked in such an environment you’re never going to understand. It’s nothing you can touch and you don’t get indoctrinated or forced. It just is.

It’s like, even now 10 years after retirement, if I read something or hear something that vilifies the police (in Scotland as the experience is unique to me), my first instinct is to stick up for ‘the job’. Not the individuals involved who I’m unlikely to know personally after the passage of time, but the job.
I’ve never been a firefighter or paramedic but those people will also have the same mindset whether or not they complain endlessly about the bosses or experiences on a daily basis, they’ll still stick up for ‘the job’. And they can’t begin to tell you, as an outsider, why. But between them and colleagues past and present they understand the unspoken mantra.

What the feck is going on in this “modern”
Are peoples thoughts and opinions more important than the meaning of the law???
This ruling reminds me of West Midlands Police report on Maccabi visiting Villa, full of made up stuff and things that didn't happen. The post truth state.

Same in the forces. My dad has a similar attitude towards the Navy.

From my recent experience, nurses are not thinking like that about their heirarchy . So do you mean management circles only 🤔

Hierarchy/management doesn’t come in to it.

You’ve proved my point though. You dinnae get it. That’s not a swipe at you Joe. I know why you dinnae get it and it’s all contained in my recent posts

Is the term for this not Esprit de corps?

Looks like AI generated slop which, as you yourself have frequently pointed out, takes it's input from unreliable sources of information like Wikipedia. The judge should be launched for that alone; using AI on such a crucial case. In addition there seems to have been deliberate use of activist language and sneaky editing of the text of prior judgement. The whole thing is not fit for purpose.
So much for justice being blind. 🙄

I think this is particularly the case where there is a strong, unifying purpose and where people can be under stress or face trauma. Some of that is absolutely instilled by training and culture - the military for example. I've spoken to ex police who have spoken about a sense of separateness from other jobs. And medical staff can face life and death moments every day.

Sometimes it about as basic stuff as working shifts, which a lot of people don't do.i can see why they don't relate to the nine to five or more accurately why the nine to fivers find it hard to relate to them.

I’m not a particularly attentive proof reader, but these are all errors that you would pick up rereading your document. It’s bizarre it would be sent out with so many errors

Darlington nurses vindicated. Is common sense breaking out?

Sometimes wonder if it's a natural outcome of these kinds of thing going to court. A judge -- unlike a journalist, an academic, etc. -- really does have to think it through from first principles (and under the law), and if you do that...

You think that, but then Fife.
