Chris Mueller

Either BBC Gossip has amended it's post or I f***ed up - I'm sure when I read it over my porridge this morning it said 10K per four weeks for the four months he was here. Either way, you can kick my arse

Thank feck you said "kick".

Can’t believe anyone believes the 10k a week story, the sun probably lifted that from a forum or hibs twitter

There’s no danger he was on that. I reckon if we were gonna offer that money to anyone it would’ve been Boyle to keep him here!!

The whole mueller thing reminds me of when the gunts signed that Serbian or whatever he was, banged on about him for months before he eventually arrived, then arrived done fuck all and fuxked off a few months later

I hope to fuck he wasn't on anthing like that

Remember hearing the £10k story when he signed, 5k paid by the club and 5k paid by Ron. And chat that the idea was that that he’d eventually be sold down south for a tidy profit.

Found it hard to believe then, and even harder to believe now!

So got money for him 😁
Aye ??

Kensell hanging the player out to dry. Not a good look.

Undisclosed fee. Can't grumble with that.

For telling everyone what we know. Fine with that. Let's stop tip toeing around failures.

If we got anything we've done alright

Undisclosed fee was Hibs paying them to take him off our hands

More than likely

Really?

Said he trained hard but struggled with the physical demands (which we could all see) and that the deal made sense for the club. Which is maybe about making money and maybe about cutting losses, and maybe about recouping enough in fees to make up for a generous wage (which was clearly the case regardless of the figure) for someone who didn't play much.

Thought it was pretty benign

Let's take the cutting edge of semantics to that statement.
In a way it also hangs Hibs and Ian Gordon out to dry by saying they signed a player who they should have known wouldn't be able to cope with the pace and physicality of our league.

You have introduced the word fee.
The word fee is never used in Hibs statement?
It states that the terms of the transfer will remain undisclosed which could mean absolutely anything and means they are not making it public.
What such an information void means for social media and the MSM is that we and they can make up any terms for the transfer we see fit.

Our signing committee is pish

Very telling part of that story from Hibs

"For us, it was vital that this deal made complete sense for the Club and alongside this, it has also freed up a significant amount financially that the incoming manager will be able to use to mould the squad in their way."

If anyone's seen Ron's son in the west during a game Muellers played in its pretty obvious who's signing he was when he was on the ball.

From the MLS website.

Horrible look.

But absolutely typical of BK.

Tbf, he clearly wasn't up to the physicality of our game.

It just didn't work out for Chris, which is a pity.
I thought there was enough there talent wise for us to work on in the close season.
Many players coming from outside Scotland struggle with the pace and physicality of the scottish game. Joe Newall for one when he first arrived but once he adapted properly, had a decent pre-season, and was played in his best position he improved and became a mainstay in our midfield.
Thanks for all your efforts Chris, and all the best at Chicago Fire.

This committee better learn quickly it’s not just technical abilities but physical and mental toughness to deal with Scottish football on and off the park.

Deary me

He came in at the wrong time, just as a manager had been sacked. I don’t know, I think a bit of patience would have been fair. A pre season and a run in the team could have been massive. I don’t think msl players are generally good enough to play in Scotland, but once someone has made the decision to bring him in at least see it through!

We seem to lack courage of conviction, and we’ve started emptying players before a manager is appointed. We’re doing things as a club and ripping it up as bad decisions on the back of it not working the way we want it to instantly like a petulant child.

This is a big summer, and it feels like we’re in a rapidly escalating downward spiral.

Think he’s called it right from all the minutes I’ve watched him.

I would've gave him a chance too, and agree with the rest of it tbf.

Although, I don't think we've emptied him, I think he wanted out and he's been given the avenue out.

I think so too. I'm betting he's spoke to his agent and put out the feelers. Harsh to blame the club. How many of our lads go to Russia etc and last five minutes too?

As Mr McGough says on Twitter, we’re now a Mueller Light.😁

That's my thinking as well. Just wasn't for him. Did he not bring a GF/wife as well? Maybe she couldn't settle? Right club at the wrong time

Negatives: He didn't have a decent first touch, didn't have any physicality, lacked any pace going forward, offered nothing defensively, looked like he had the heart of a mouse and scored a total of 1 goal.....

Positives: He's written a book about how to be a success, and had a funny picture taken up town with an owl.
