Phew!38 year old Laphroaig advertised, I was going to treat my dad but it's sold out. Only £4100
Excellent choice, sir!Well if you can’t treat yourself for Father’s Day . . . £ 27 with the Club Card

Your laddie has excellent taste. My laddie got me a bottle of Oban for da’s day.
Only the Old Pulteney and it’s lovely!Have you sampled any of them yet?
Edit: just poured a small Tamnavulin now - slightly fiery but think it’ll grow on me.Nice one
An impressive haul!Father’s Day Threesome!
Nice way to celebrate both with a double.A Father’s Day present and a contest win for my band. Well, it would be rude not to
Long time since I had three unopened malts in the house . . . well tw . . . ach!An impressive haul!
I did the tour there. Hated the cocky as fuck guide and the whiskey's rotten.
Boona StewBunnahabhain Stiureadair
Fuck trying to pronounce that when drunk.
You think that's good? Try the 12 year old. Next level.Just opened the Bunnahabhain Stiureadair and having to pinch myself. Think I’ve died and gone to whisky heaven! Thanks to Sancho Panza for drawing my attention to unpeated Islay malt!
Edit: if I hadn’t re-read that post it would have been “unseated Islam malt” which would be a very different kettle of frogs.
I always think of Laphroaig and Lagavulin when Islay is mentioned and, whilst I like them both, I wouldn’t choose to buy them nowadays. Thanks for the pointer wrt unpeated though. You think that's good? Try the 12 year old. Next level.
Also Bruichladdich Classic Laddie when it's on offer. Another lovely unpeated Islay malt. Tesco keep it.
Is the bubblegum native to Islay?Just trying ardbeg smokiverse... so good. Smokey and fruity with a taste of smoked bubblegum. .. so nice
Is the bubblegum native to Islay?![]()
Thought I'd read that somewhere that's why I asked. Pity it was driven underground when it was banned by the English after Culloden. It's actually well documented somewhere that thousands of years ago ancient islayers were the world's largest exporter of smoked bubblegum. Noah himself was reported to have plugged a leak on the ark with a lump of well chewed islay bubblegum.
My eyes were drawn to your first line (Father's Day Threesome) like a magnet, only to be severely disappointed! Although at my age even a twosome involves a week's convalescence.Father’s Day Threesome!
It's a really smooth drop.Having a pleasant evening enjoying this and watching Sting at Isle of Wight

Jings, the last time I drank Wild Turkey, carnage ensued (so I’m told). I just rounded off my evening meal with a large Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve.
The 101 is surprisingly smooth for an over proof whisky. Nice with water but can be drunk neat.Jings, the last time I drank Wild Turkey, carnage ensued (so I’m told). I just rounded off my evening meal with a large Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve.
