What you're eating. What you're drinking. What you're watching?

Sacrilege!

Richmond sausages are the absolute top choice for the barbecue!

I'm with you Shrink! The cheapo (fat) Richmonds are great on the BBQ, far better than the more expensive Tesco Finest offerings etc. Tend to spend more on the burgers for BBQs but for sausages the cheaper the better

Excellent.

If you have access to Costco it’s burger heaven. Aberdeen Angus burgers are top notch, but for real luxury on the barbie try the Wagyu burgers.

And a sixer of Campo Viejo Reserva while you’re there is also recommended.

Dinner time. 2× Bute Island Blue French Sheese melted on seeded toast. Fresh fruit salad with Alpro single cream.

Bottle of ale dedicated to all Jambo fuds.

Watching Murder Ahoy DVD.

No sign of these in Morrison’s this morning either in the sausage or vegetarian sections so plumped for Simon Howie’s vegetarian sliced sausage. Not the best colour but that will be sorted out when cooking and gonna add some vegetarians fried onions to it anaw.

Best banger in Edinburgh - Pork and Leek at Wilson’s butcher at Corstorphine. Leaves some amount of fat in the (frying) pan though so it’s a monthly event.

Watching - finished S5 of Power. One to go. Very good season that one.

Finished - Undercover on Netflix. Dutch crime show. Bloody decent.

Continuing - S3 of Narcos starting shortly. Rewatched S1 as didn’t get into it a few years back. Heard Narcos Mexico was better so that’s in the pipeline.

May soon start on S2 and S3 of the Sinner as first one was good watch a year or two back.

Surprised about the bangers, I have just received a delivery from Morrison's which included 2 x packs of these. One for the fridge the other for the freezer.

Simon Howie long established Scottish Butcher thankfully saw a business opportunity that existed in the Healthy eating, Vegetarian, Vegan market.

This big boy is a guarenteed Sunday morning after the night before cure, baked beans and tattie scone with a big mug of coffee/tea. No need to eat again until Monday breakfast! Two Lorne sausage, two black pudding and two link sausages, which have herbs in.

Vegetarian & Vegan Black Pudding - Bury Black Pudding
Healthy stuff!

I mentioned this splendid V pudding on here back in January Larry. It is a trueism that, V pudding whether made in Perth or Bury, is not and will not taste like the real stuff, however is compensated by me knowing that a stunned, yet alive sentient pig, upside down on a hook, has not had it's throat cut and blood collected in it's making. I can live with the taste thing when covered in HP sauce on a Storries roll.

Everyone to their own.

For my tea. Large baked spud. Took forever in oven. With Heinz 5 beans.
Slab of chocolate cake with Alpro custard accompanied by an appropriate beer to compliment the pudding.

The only place that I have seen Fruli on draught was in the splendid Ship & Mitre, on Dale Street, Liverpool and quaffed on several occasions. Served in pint flute glasses. Have to watch, as it tastes like Creamola Foam and goes downs far, far too easily.

After spending a glorious day at the beach mastering stand up paddle boarding, we had intended to have a bbq on our last night of our wee holiday but the Scottish weather decided we had had enough outdoors today. Still had a burger, but it’s not the same from the oven.

Today’s ice cream from Cream o Galloway was lemon and lime Kurd and chocolate orange. I know I’m biased, but they make the best ice cream I’ve tasted.

currently watching the tide go out and my dogs having vivid dreams, probably about chasing rabbits or swimming.

Well reminded that man. I was doing a reconnoitre of cupboards, fridge, freezer the other day before making an delivery order to Morrisons. I came across an unopened jar of Roses Lemon and Lime, fine cut Marmalade, use by October 2020.

Breakfasts sorted, Marmalade on seeded toast, with a mug of coffee until the jar is finished. Which brings back strangely, memories of going on a school holiday with other primary school members back in 1964 to Dounans Camp at Aberfoyle. We were 10 years old then and slept in dorms. Cannae remember if it was 7 or 10 days. Anyway before going to bed there would be communal singing and whatnot. Then following that a much looked forward to jam piece and cup of cocoa, which I loved. So 56 years later I will give that a go before retiring tomorrow night.
Got cocoa and jam, just need to buy a plain loaf. Memories are made of this.

Grilled a rib eye steak (for me), chilli, garlic tomato spagetti and crusty rolls with alioli for the mass veggies in the hoose. I tried Aldi's Vegan Potato Salad, it is fucking magic. Shiraz and family chat round the dining table, wi the radio on in the background. Magic in turbulent times.

That’s a proper bit of bread that.

Just polished off the Howies vegetarian sliced sausage and got the Richmonds bangers as well.

Thought Howies was much better. Probably because normal sliced sausage has less meat and it was more similar in texture with similar add ons used? Anyway, both were good alternatives to fatty as fuk normal sausage with questionable meat usage and will buy the slice again.

Take care ?

Cha Cha King Prawn, Rice and Prawn Crackers from last nights takeaway, a pint of diluting pear juice (really nice) and reading with joy Hibernian signing good young talent from the Scottish Leagues.

Working laying slabs, cutting grass and weeding. Felt hungry, two hamburger rolls topped with onions and tomatoes. Yum. Filled my plastic flask with summer fruits diluted juice. Happy, belly and Happy Hibee.

Would recommend that Howies V Breakfast Pack amigo. Sausage and Black up your street and singletons get two meals from it.
I sometimes make stewed V sausage with my Richmond's, potato, carrot, onion, celery cubes, with Bisto. Dod of broon and couple of slices of crusty.

Not a fan of the black puddin so will stick to the slice.

Got a couple of bigger tins to upsize the Yorkshire puddings. Good result obtained.

Sold out of veggie richmonds in Morrisons the night, did by vegan coleslaw and tattie salad from Aldi, I love it.

Yesterday it was my sister LDRP hibby's birthday. She was working nights as a midwife so we decided to have her birthday tea today. It was a nice day because my mum hadn't been out the house since lockdown apart from one walk to the shops. However we went to Newhoose/Ldrp's house and we ordered a Chinese which Newhoose went and fetched.I decided to try squid, but I lived to regret it.I found it was a similar experience to chewing on elastic bands.I got through them but never again. However the cake from Morrisons made up for it.So a nice day really. Then we got home an munched our way through prawn crackers.

Anybody see Gary goes to Hollywood? Was a documentary about Greg McHugh, of Gary Tank Commander, who searches out Scots who have headed for the bright lights of LA. Best bit is where he meets Ross King from GMTV and find a Scottish style chippy run by a Glaswegian.

The end of the lockdown is in sight! This week for the first time in months, the door of the Links Tavern opened up. Don't get excited, it hasnie opened yet... Presumably it's to have the tubes cleared or deep cleaning. When it opens it will it complete the third part of the trio, with The Rig and the wee bookies that symbolise post apocalyptic normality.

Vegetarian black pudding , fuck me i've heard everything now

Indeed.

Many years ago a Bouncer bragged on here about being able to source the real thing - Stornaway Black Pudding. Not only did the guy offer to bring me a supply, he wouldn’t take a sausage for it. (See what I did there?)
Big Is banned.
Last time I saw him was an away game....... Molde I think?

Bought him a pint in return for the pudding!
Some boy.
