What you're eating. What you're drinking. What you're watching?

A bitter combo, like our Gorgie friends, for supper, toasted sourdough sandwiches filled with non dairy cream Sheese made for 30 years on the island of Bute and fizzing fermented Kimchi.
2 bottles of the most bitter, blackest, stout ever, Guinness West Indies Porter 6%.

McLeod and McLeod Stornoway black pudding, sausages, bacon, duck egg and tomatoes. The wind and rain is a bummer in and out the garden. Lamb Balti for much later.

Love my eggs, treat myself at the weekend to duck eggs. Very nice yolk for those that still like to dip their soldiers. Best wear a bib though.

Had a wee trip to Gullane just to get a change of scenery (and stock up on the Campo Viejo Reserva from Costco on the way past.)
Stopped on the way back at the Chippy caravan at the beach car park "Alanda's". Fish supper and a coffee, and watched the storm come in.
Fish and chips were excellent. The chippy is going to be there every day, well worth a visit if you're bored and able.

1st day off work and no much left in the house, improvised a pizza base as only had a little gf flour used salsa as the base with the last of the cheddar from the fridge Hunners of pickled jalapeños and chilli ? flakes.
Topped with some big circles of Arran back pepper cheddar and a drizzle(smell me) of thai sweet chilli sauce.

Fish and peas with Tartare Sauce for me, a glass of red after a day from hell where 7 of my team of 20 have been put on redundancy consultation. To cap a *&*^ of a day, Everton are not playing well at Spurs.

Breakfast was 2 x meat free Richmond sausages on a Storries Roll, HP sauce. Mug of bean to cup Java.
Listened to Woman's Hour.

Making Ramen noodle soup for dinner and large Spring Rolls for my tea. Filo pastry has been hit and a miss in the past but will give it a dash.

Could easily eat meat free sausages. Many Bangers have questionable meat content and not the hea lthiest so I try to limit the intake of the humble sausage to once in a blue moon and favour egg or bacon on the weekend roll breakfast.

Meat free on a decent morning roll from the local bakery and lashings of Daddy’s sauce ? could be just the answer. Might even slap a fried egg on the top...for posterity ken?

Watch this space.

wee salad.... pickled onions, beetroot, coleslaw, different lettuce leaves, small chunk branston pickle, couple wee tomatoes, cucumber, mug of tea. Small sweet crisp wee apple for pudding. Refreshing scran all round. Now tooting a wee amnesia number, drinking a further earl grey, reading the bounce loving her radges, whilst at all times, hating the gunts. Perverts.

Dinnertime had Ramen noodle soup with small spicey doughboys.

Cairngorm Trade Winds 4.3%

Started watching DVD set of 4 Agatha Christie murder mystery films from 1961 to 1964, starring The splendid Margaret Rutherford as Jane Marple. I have seen them all, over the decades on BBC2 and Film4 many times. Bought them a couple of weeks ago. Wonderful films.

Pork Kebabs with stir fry noodles in spring onion and oyster sauce tonight, a german wheat beer or two and an early night, work is knackering right now.

Plate of stovies, I'm full. Porridge and honey earlier. Stodge day, full sign up. Watching you tube in the man cave, I've totally given up TV. Watched a random ocean expedition to Antarctica, they trawled the ocean bottom and discovered some ugly looking sea creatures/fish. Dosed off for an hour and woke up to the Book of Enoch. Lol

Sacrilege!

Richmond sausages are the absolute top choice for the barbecue!

Mass marketed rubbish.
Bound to be a decent butchers in the livi area* for a decent sausage.
*Could try Walter Smith butcher's at the top of the dual carriageway, easy to find the lane on the roundabout even says DOB

Fuckin sausage snobbery going on here.
I’m as partial to a meaty sausage as the next man. Particularly if the next man is Moaty. (Copywrite Jim Davidson 1972)
My point is that this particular sausage, which granted is cheap, mass produced and more rusk than meat, is particularly suited to being barbecued on a throwaway barbecue cooked by a semi sober barbi master.

Indeed this sausage is seen as an integral part of any barbecue hosted by myself or my sons.

I’ve already reported this post for being homophobic and in poor sausage taste so if you were thinking about doing so, fcuk off.

Mark, Daz Meat free Richmond's are tasty. Their 'pork' sausages are only 45% pork, so not a big leap.

No sign of these in Morrison’s this morning either in the sausage or vegetarian sections so plumped for Simon Howie’s vegetarian sliced sausage. Not the best colour but that will be sorted out when cooking and gonna add some vegetarians fried onions to it anaw.

Best banger in Edinburgh - Pork and Leek at Wilson’s butcher at Corstorphine. Leaves some amount of fat in the (frying) pan though so it’s a monthly event.

Watching - finished S5 of Power. One to go. Very good season that one.

Finished - Undercover on Netflix. Dutch crime show. Bloody decent.

Continuing - S3 of Narcos starting shortly. Rewatched S1 as didn’t get into it a few years back. Heard Narcos Mexico was better so that’s in the pipeline.

May soon start on S2 and S3 of the Sinner as first one was good watch a year or two back.
