Watching Series 3 of The Boys. A superhero drama for people who hate superhero dramas. Karl Urban says "cvnt". A lot. In a dodgy cockney accent. What's not to love?

I liked The Boys. Great stuff. There's a prequel series out just now called Gen V. It's not as good but it has its moments. Also watching the Van Helsing series and Christopher Heyerdahl is one scary motherfucker as Sam.

2 Things I'm watching on iPlayer at the moment:
- Dark Hearts - French Special Forces fitghting ISIS in Mosul, Iraq - in French with English Subtitles
- Hinterland - Welsh Police/Murder Drama based in Aberystwyth - very dark and beautifully filmed. It's been on before but this time they have released Series 1 which was originally done in part Welsh (with English subtitles) and part English. The Welsh language adds mystery. It was refilmed in just English and I think Series 2 and 3 were only done in English, no Welsh.

You seen this before? I think channel 4 showed it.
Decent show where you see the polis working whilst Iraq crumbles.
It's decent.
And the film Mosul? It's on Netflix. Iraqi SWAT team. Tells you about the team it's based on at the end of the film....
Baghdad Central (TV series)
The series is set in Iraq in 2003, shortly after the ousting of Saddam Hussein.
It centres on a former policeman, Muhsin al-Khafaji (Waleed Zuaiter), as he tries to find his missing daughter, Sawsan (Leem Lubany).
He is mistakenly arrested and tortured by United States troops but then recruited by a former British policeman, Frank Temple (Bertie Carvel), to become a police officer in the Green Zone.

First 2 series were brilliant. Gave up on it during the one with Ewan McGregor in it but might revisit it
