Thought they were excellent Kev. 3rd series especially IMO.
Got a lot of time on my hands at the mo so might revisit some of the old favs that I've only watched once.
 
I'm a bit hooked on Masterchef Professionals, and I reckon I could have a go.

For his starter, Cabbage has prepared a slice of wholemeal bread, toasted, topped with slabs of mature cheddar then grilled to oblivion and dressed with chipotle sauce.
For his main, Cabbage has prepared a sliced morning roll filled with layers of square sausage, stornoway black pudding and tattie scone, with a side of fried egg and hash brown.
Winner.

I thought it needed at least one more episode. I'm guessing another series was the original plan, but was never commissioned. Unless it's just a French thing, leave all the loose ends hanging.

Same as a lot of the shows. They kick the balls out of a decent series and the plots get a bit daft.

But aye Gomorrah is up there with the Sopranos

There was another Italian show Jimmy, Subarra, I think it was called, not as good as Gomorrah but decent tae. Also a French show called Braquo which was also excellent. Gonna have a trawl through the foreign section on Kodi and see if there's any more decent stuff.

Try and find the film Romanzo Criminale (spl?).

There was also a TV series done as well

The Shield had a really great ending but aye most are shit due to the reason you mention. I also think with a lot of shows the writer(s) haven’t even thought about what the ending might be so they just wing it when they get telt its time to wrap it up.

Tv series is brilliant. Not seen the movie but find it hard to imagine it’s better, given the greater depth the tv show’s hours allow.

@Hibee Kev the Shield is I think my favourite series of all time - maybe vying with tinker, tailor, soldier, spy.

The ending is brilliant like you say. One that grows on you afterward I found, a bit like the Sopranos ending, which is probably perfection as endings go but initially had viewers wtf’ing.
