We won't get 2 million from the sell on?
I think they're still due us 1million, and we'd get 500ish thousand from the profit %age.
With more to come down the line when he transfers again.

Annoyingly, I think Hearts get about 2% of the fee because he was a youth there.

We will get 27.5% of the profit plus the amount of the original fee still owed to us.
The sell on will give us nowhere near £2 million extra.
If Verona make €3 million on the transfer we will get 27.5% of that which would be €825k

We will still be due part of the original fee given the fee is almost never paid in a oner.
However, I would never add such an installment in with the sell on fee given it is not extra money.

Regardless, the payment is due to Hibs and we have a decent sell on fee. With both payments we are looking at over 2 million, is not that right?

The original fee installments will already be budgeted for.
The only additional and unbudgetted money coming to Hibs from a transfer would be the circa 27.5% of profit sell on fee.

The 21-year-old former Hibs youth is currently at Verona after moving from Easter Road last summer. But after his debut season in Italy, several top-flight sides are chasing him. Bologna and Torino have concrete interest and are currently negotiating with Verona over a summer transfer. But MailSport understands that Fiorentina and Monza are now also monitoring the left-back’s situation as they weigh up bids of their own.


Also, although it’s less likely, Italian giants AC Milan enquired about Doig’s availability towards the end of last season before technical director – and club legend – Paolo Maldini left the San Siro in June. The Scotland Under-21 star made 22 appearances for Verona in Serie A last season, scoring twice against Udinese and Sampdoria If he makes the move to Bologna, Doig will hook up with fellow Scot Lewis Ferguson at the Renato Dal-Arra Stadium.

Hibs should send Danny Drinkwater an invite to come and train with a view to a contract. Not played in a good while but nothing to lose taking a look. Aged 33 and a decent player in the past.

I think by the end of the window and including the Youan fee, it'll be quite shocking how much we've spent.

Hopefully now that the Doig deal is near completion, it would be good to see a few permanent deals done before the Team head out to Spain.

The spreadsheet says he's above average technically, good on the ball and a passer. Goes forward.
No aggression or jumping ability. Poor decision maker, not one to join in defensively.
