Rumour.

To be fair if his attitude isn’t great, he’ll not go very far.

History isn’t on his side either, there’s not (m)any examples of youth players who have prospered after leaving Hibernian.

What's that superstar Kurtis Byrne up to these days? 🤨

A red top is saying were in for Levitt.

Hearts being the other club interested.
The word is Hearts are not interested.
Hibs supporters would love him.
Our midfield is all cake.
This guy would add icing.

You've got me sold on him! Any midfielder who oozes that wee bit of class will always be adored by the Hibernian support.

We’ve plenty runners and chasers in midfield, Magennis was supposed to be the guile so we need to bring someone in as Henderson isn’t up to task… perhaps Levitt is the man.

He's certainly looked impressive every time I've seen him on the telly. Aberdeen should be declaring their interest any time now though I would guess,

Was gash last season.

Who's to say he would improve this one?

What about Yan Dhanda as a creative midfielder. He impressed me at Ross County. Can pick out a pass don't know how many goals he scored, don't think that many but was a kind of Scott Allan type player and only 24.

I was thinking more Tait and Henderson but yeah, they can have anyone they want from our bench warmers really if we shed numbers and bring in quality.

I don’t think even Goodwin is daft enough to sign the empty plastic bag blowing in the wind that is Henderson.

Tait maybe.

I said Doidge because United will be able to afford his wages, and they need to replace Fletcher. Mackay has shown he’s a good player in the Championship too.

ologna, 5 April 2023 – What if after Hickey and Ferguson a new unknown talent arrives from Scotland? It is still early to have certainties, but from the British country bounce several names of players who play in the Scottish premier approached to the rossoblù: for contacts or presence of the scouts of Casteldebole to observe those directly concerned.

The last one leads to Josh Campbell, a new talent from the land of Ermione: he is a midfielder born in 2000, who has yet to turn 23, who this year has already collected 9 goals and 5 assists, owned by Hibernian, who made his debut in the under 21, but not yet in the senior national team. Numbers and path similar to that of Lewis Ferguson, who last season totaled 16 goals and an assist with Aberdeen, only to land in rossoblù. In Bologna the thread of Scotland is fashionable.

After Hickey, who earned 16 million plus 4 million in bonuses against an expense of 1.8 million invested to snatch him from the Hearts of Midlothian, here is Lewis Ferguson. The midfielder arrived for 3.5 million, with a contract of 250 thousand euros net and already has Lazio and Milan on his heels.

"But I see myself in Bologna for at least another two years," said the midfielder, who to date has scored 5 goals: as many as Hickey, his compatriot, then flew to the promised land of the Premier League, at Brentford. Hickey and Ferguson: guaranteed return and capital gains. The direct line with Scotland opened by Riccardo Bigon continued with Giovanni Sartori, who last summer, was long fought: Ferguson or Doig?

Yes, because the Scots in the sights of the head of the technical area were two, but from Brexit onwards the British are worth as much as the non-EU citizens and more than two can not be bought. Except that Lucumì was the number one goal to replace the starter Theate. The choice fell on Ferguson, torn from Lecce. But Doig remained targeted, chased even in January. And he will also be chased in the summer, unless Kyriakopoulos' ransom arrives. Ferguson is a market man who does not want to sell in Bologna: if anything, retouching and extending the contract is the goal. But Medel is expiring and Dominguez a question mark related to the extension of the contract, then Josh Campbell could become a real target, especially if Dominguez does not renew.

Sell on fee.

Something has just occurred to me ✨

Say we're due 30%

Is that 30% of the total transfer fee (we can argue about add ons and extras later 😆) or 30% of difference between what was originally paid and the selling price (add ons etc)?

Your guess as good as mine. Whatever it is must be used to get Fish.

It’s 30% of the profit, so the new fee less what we originally received.

Or better on a permanent deal.

I like Fish, but if we get the choice of a good defender full time or one on loan I'd take the contracted player.

Was the Bologna offer accepted?

I read we're still due £1m from the initial fee, and the number used today would see us get another 500k

Well Dundee Utd have certainly flushed out any other interest. This will be viewed by the mutants as their big chance to show how awfy big they are....

Bigger chance for us to show them up.
If Hibs want him, Hibs will get it done, Hibs since Ian Gordon got involved have gone and got deals done.

Not always good deals, but still done them.

4D Chess. Hibs pretend interest Hearts bid big and we walk away laughing. Far fetched I know.

Last season Levitt was playing in a team full of icing and no cake and as a result their structure fell apart despite having some quality players. In the Hibs midfield he would be the only icing and surrounded by cake which would allow him to do his thing whilst the other guys did the perfunctory tasks. He's a great fit for Hibs.

I had no view on Levitt but given Ryan is wrong about everything I think he'd be the best signing for decades
5 goals 3 assists for the team that finished bottom as well as being injured most part of the second half of the season

Aye Ryan talks pish

Still only 22.
We have been linked with McGrath aswell imo it would be one or the other .

Either would be a good signing

We are also linked with Baccus.
All 3 would improve us but of the 3 Levitt is the one that could make a real difference to Hibs because we already have grafters in midfield.
His vision and ability to find Youan, Boyle and the centre forward with high quality forward passes through and over the lines could be a game changer for Hibs. He no doubt has weaknesses in his game that others will have to cover but it's his craft and strengths that we are after.
