I'm sure in his interview he pronounced it Chabraya but then again I also thought Josh Vela would beat good signing so now I don't know what to think.

Maybe the club could say so in one of its 100 daily tweets?

I checked it when he joined and it's Č inhis language, so yes, pronounced chabraya

Good listen.
I’m not sure why Kaiser doesn’t want to show his face. Is he more hideous than the other presenters?
Take some doing.

Loved the Ivan episode.

Looking for the Faz episode. He’s a real Radge.

Faz episode:

Longbangers 160 with Davie Farrell

Thanks, I think Kaiser was originally wary of his work clocking him and him saying something that would get him cancelled!

Ep 165 Livi 2 Hibs 1

Will pop the Apple link up later, it’s taking a while to appear there!

We had a chat about the episode and Hibs in general with a load of folk on Twitter (including Marvin Bartley) tonight (like an hour long phoned in all about Hibs) - you can hear it here:

Here's the fan "phone in" reaction to the draw today, we've used Twitter Spaces to broaden the viewpoints and speakers.

Also available in podcast players, search for Longbangers.

Meant to add this to the post yesterday, these Twitter Spaces have been really good so far, they're open to anyone who is on Twitter - so everyone's more than welcome to join in.

We're going to do them on a Tuesday for folk who've listened to the Sunday/Monday Longbangers episode to discuss what was covered, and then a preview the day before the match, and a post-match which is like a phone-in style show, so we don't vet the opinions (we don't do that anyway) etc, it's live and we'll give everyone who wants to join in the opportunity do so as much as possible.

If you're on Twitter and want to get involved, follow @Longbangers and watch for details - we'd love to hear from you.

New episode out now!

Discussion on Saturday's 2-2 draw with the forces of darkness.

We'll be hosting a Twitter Space tomorrow night to get your thoughts on the views in the podcast, if you want to get involved follow @Longbangers on Twitter (and we love to see your opinions on these threads as well).

I hope you are not blaming the Manager when he has been thrown under a bus by the direction of our recruitment strategy. Him only having 3 of those new signings in his squad tells you everything you need to know how unhappy the Manager is.

His statement of needing ready made players gives you more evidence also.

In all fairness surely it would've been so much better if you'd got someone on who actually watched the whole game ???

We asked if he had a part to play, he's not blameless, surely?

We had two of us who watched the whole game. The episode contains very little chat about incidents in the match anyway and was more about the wider issues.

If you are meaning the midfield three that have been part of our weakest point in our team for over two seasons I would agree with you. Or was it the point he was making to the board and owner that he had to play those three as he doesn’t have the confidence of any of the others?

We have already had our own discussion on this and more, although we agreed Stevenson should be part of that midfield and why isn’t Tait giving a chance. But it maybe what I mentioned above by the Manager making a statement to the board.

I think recruitment is a huge issue, but you'd have to look at games against Falkirk and Morton, for example, and say we should have enough at the club to win those?

We just asked the question about the manager on the episode, was one of the talking points but I don't think we put the shambles at his door, although my own view is that he should be doing better.

The decision making of recruitment is the massive issue. Everyone knows where the weak points in the team are and we are now three seasons in and the problem hasn’t been addressed, so I don’t see how the Manager can be blamed for that.

The games you mention had the writing on the wall for the new Manager and forgive me for sounding like a broken record to other posters, our actual games haven’t been great either, St Johnstone away we had to wait until they went a player down before we made any impact, Derby deserved nothing from it, same with the Huns until they lost two players.
Livi game for all the pressure we applied in the game we didn’t take our chances and the defence was too weak and we lose the game.

St Mirren I cannot add much as I didn’t see the game, but reading the comments on here it’s the same issues that was highlighted that we haven’t addressed over two seasons.

The manager is -we're told (from the horse's mouth) part of the recruitment process so he can't wash his hands of it.

I totally agree that recruitment is the issue, ultimately though.

I wasn’t aware of that to be honest as I don’t understand why the Manager is making public statements about wanting ready made players and only putting 3 of the new players in his first team.

This maybe wrong but @Doc Shrink brought up which makes more sense that LJ has a bad bunch of players to choose from that we’re brought to him by someone else’s decision to bring in those players with the exception of McGeady who I do believe was all LJ.

He's meant to have final say on the players and if the ones brought to him to pick from aren't up to it, then he needs to be strong enough to say so and explain why, if he's not doing that or can't do that then he's in the w wrong job, imho.

He's mentioned that Tavares was one that he'd been trying to sign for a while as well.

I certainly don't think it's all on the manager and the failure of the last two managers shows that the issues run deeper than Johnson.

Interesting because Tavares is a concern for me, I am not saying what the other poster is saying was correct and you are right if that was happening then Johnson should be speaking up.

Out of all the signings made taken out Marshall who was down to Maloney, only Youan has stood out for me, that in itself is worrying to be honest especially if Johnson was behind these signings and he hasn’t addressed our weak points.
