I don’t know, maybe? I don’t think we’ve many players in the team who have been given contracts recently on sentiment - the two that most folk go to on this point are Hanlon and Stevenson, both signed new contracts when their form warranted it, and Stevenson hasn’t been offered a renewal yet, as far as I know.

Who else did you have in mind?

The big one for me has to be David Gray. Aside from the winning goal in 2016 , I’d say he was just another player to have played for Hibs. Good SPFL player but nothing special.

His injury record towards the end of his playing time was poor though. Handing him such a big deal with his injury record raised more than a few eyebrows. I’d say thats a stick on as a deal based on sentiment if there ever was one.

Gray was given a contract that would take him into coaching, a transitional one that was something different from the club. I don’t have any issues with his, or McGregor’s.

Didn't see you guys in the Pioneers, although I was also a freeloading guest. Missed an opperchancity to lace a diag with a half time pie.
Funnily enough one of the guys at our table was missing a pie at half time. I assume you boys got there first.

Would have been good to meet you. It was a smashing day, never chored any pies this time though!

Highlight for me, football aside, was getting introduced to whisky and ginger by Greg from Whisky Row. I'm not a whisky drinker at all but that was lovely, think I had four or five in the end. Would recommend!

Why is it? We put out loads of content free and we put the time in to do these, we have subscribers paying for extra content every week and for those that subscribe it's about 50p per episode, I think that's fair enough.

Ah get that mate and the extra subscribers getting the extra content I get and I actually subscribe to but....doing half an interview and being a cock tease to get the second part doesn't really go along with the ethics of what you boys have always said - that it wasn't about making dosh.

Just my opinion.

Thanks for subscribing and for the feedback, I stand by it though, we put hours into these things and want to give subscribers value for money, we don't charge anywhere near what other podcasts do and I don't think it's unreasonable to use things like this to promote the subscription. It would have been easy to put the whole thing behind a paywall but as you say, that's not really what we're about.

No bother man.

The paywall for the whole interview I would feel would have been more credible tbh. There will be a good few people who will just see as advertising to subscribing and I get that, just a bit underhanded to me. I love the podcast, subscribe and appreciate the time and effort you both put in, genuinely. :)

Just following up on this, we're going to put the second part out next Wednesday to everyone - we've had a few requests from subscribers to do it during to the topics we cover with Andy.
