I work for Pernod. I have about 200 bottles of whisky in my collection. Glenlivet,Chivas,Aberlour. They are the more premium ones I collect.
I enjoy peated and unfortunately we don't make a lot of those so I'm currently drinking a rivals in Laphroaig.

Wisnae cheap (nae decent supermarkets selling malts nearby, shame and nae offers ever) but very fruity indeed as per the label. 40% and almost woody aftertaste - in a good way!

Read that it’s lightly peated - I do like a bruichladdich 10 which I find is more peppery than overly peated - is that sort of similar here? Sherry cask aspect sounds decent to me!

It's not Laphroaig/Ardberg levels of peat, no. It's got a bit of sweetness to it too.

I’d be interested in your opinion of this as I’ve just bought it too. First peated malt I’ve had in a number of years but I’m enjoying it - nice wee burn as it goes down. I also didn’t realise it comes from Aberdeenshire until now.

On the Bladnoch. I helped put a new bulk malt intake into the distillery when it was being refurbished in 2016. Beautiful setting and really interesting history of ownership up to that point. It had been bought by an Australian father and son who had sold a microbiotic yoghurt factory for 80K Aus Dollars to fulfill their dream.
