Tv series

Reason I asked is apparently there’s a sixth season.
Was series 5 not split into two lots of shows?

I watched the documentary about the making of the Sopranos and Edie Falco was asked why the last series was split into two sections.

She said it was because if it was named as a NEW series the actors would have demanded more money.

I think that's maybe the case with Yellystane as well.

Just looked it up and you’re right. I was waiting for season 6 but it’s 5 part 2. Next on the watch list.

Agreed, though it took me two goes to get into it. @PILTONSTANY it’s not a spoiler to say that it’s such a vast sweep that there is a bit of set up to get through in season one. Stick with it would be my advice. From season two until the late fall of Cav mentioned it’s a good as anything ever made.
Enjoying.
Completed season one in two days, onto the next tonight….

Started watching UNFORGOTTEN , a mix of illegal immigrants, misogyny, racism, adultery, autism, disability for starters😩
More complicated than silent witness😩
Think I’ll stick to emmerdale where two limos carrying 17 people crash at the exact same time in separate incidents . More believable stuff 🤪🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I watched it all the other day it's actually not bad

I watched the Blackhawk Down series on Netflix. It was pretty good, just hard to like any of the American special forces guys that were in it. There seems a huge difference in American vets compared other vets from around the world, especially British ex military. Yanks seems so OTT and glorify combat, where most other combat vets from around the world are more quiet and subdued.

I'll maybe put that on the planner and give it a wee gander.

Scrolling through the tv listings I see homicide life on the street is now available via sky / now tv

For anyone who hasn't seen it this is one of the best tv shows ever made.

Made by the guy who made the wire but it's better imho. One season actually has a story line that is basically a dress rehearsal for the wire season one.

Is his name David Simon? He was a journo who embedded himself with the Baltimore bizzies.

Some of the characters names in The Wire were real bizzies. I'm sure a couple of the polis were in The Wire as well.

I read the book he wrote about his experience.

Checking Wikipedia I’m half right. It’s based on David Simon’s book rather than him making the tv show.

Get it watched Jimmy. There is loads of seasons if you like it.

Will do. I just sat and watched The Last Men a French film about a stranded group of French Legionaries in Indo China at the end of WW2.

So time for the bizzies to get on the planner.

Season 1 episode 3 on the planner. There is probably a catch up mode, but you may want to move now to catch it from the start

I got it on the Syncler + app mate. All episodes saved to watch at my leisure.

Speaking of The Wire. Is this no the best description of how to play chess ever seen in a telly show?.......

The king stay the king.

Done th e last of Yellowstone. Its been good from the beginning.
Did the last (half) series work? I watched the first bit of the 1st episode and it felt really overplayed so I dropped out, might go back

I see the spinoff 1923 has just started it's 2nd and last series, first episode was quite enjoyable. I do think Tyler Sheridan has a tendency to tell us what to think too much but it's enjoyable watching

I enjoyed it and I’ve watched first of second series 1923. Both good imo.
