I'm a bit late to the party but I've really been enjoying series 1 of Severance, I'm just a couple of episodes from the end. Should be finished the first series in time for the second to have build up a few episodes.

I was worried it would be a big case style over substance, and while it certainly is stylish, it is a suitably dark and grounded bit of sci-fi too.

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned before but I’m enjoying Prime Target on apple. Despite the Steven Seagal type title it’s actually about a Cambridge maths nerd whose research into prime numbers makes him a target for dark forces. Entertaining fare and some nice locations in Cambridge, Baghdad and the south of France.

Also a lesson to the hams at bbc and ch4 on how to integrate a gay main character without making them a !!!GAy mAiN CHaRAcTER!!!!

I haven't watched this so unsure what you mean. Do you mean his private life isn't really mentioned?
I'll watch this.

No it is, but with no song and dance about it or making it a big deal. No rattling on about it endlessly or ‘educating’ the audience.

No so much a telly show as a YaTube thing. Anyway beard is in Edinburgh in this clip.....

I’ve been reading the book of this but I might just sack it for the ‘well reviewed tv’ show. The books is very good but very long and chock full of reproduced speeches, letters and other stuff from contemporary figures which can get a bit tedious for a dyslexic plodder like me.

Alas it’s on Sky so that’s a constraint but I think @EH17 Jimmy may find it up his war time street and @Green Sleeves thought the book sounded interesting (though may just have been being polite)

Ah just seen that mentioned the other day in the grauniad.

I'll get it in the Firestick.

The telly series Tehran has been a good watch.

Paradise, no its no aboot what the dodgers think their stadium is, it's a sci-fi decent so far.

Just about finished the second series of SAS Rogue Heroes. Enjoying it very much. Particularly like the anachronistic soundtrack.
Started reading the book by Ben Macintyre on which it is based.

Getting lazy too so might go for Zitelli version.

I see it's '40 years of Eastenders' is it too much to hope there is a massive earthquake swallowing up the whole square?
Nice thought Findlay.

The whole thing has become a farce these days as London's east end ain't really like that no more.

You'd have to go to Essex to find the cockneys these days though!

East end is hipsters and Bangladeshis - well that's an exaggeration but not much. One thing for sure is the diversity obsessed BBC gets it strangely wrong where a lot more would be appropriate.

An t-Eilean/The Island
iPlayer - Harris, Gaelic murder thing. The 1st few minutes intro to the first episode are excellent, I think I might enjoy this.

Apple Cider Vinegar on Netflix. Tells the true(ish) story of a wellness influencer and entrepreneur who, amongst other things, pretended to have cancer to promote her business. Not the usual kind of thing I'd watch (the missus forced me) but I liked it.

2 episodes in and this is a wee bit pish. I'm guessing the availability of decent Gaelic speaking actors was not great when this was cast. Some of the scenic shots are very nice.

No worth watching then?
