Well done to everyone who completed the Kiltwalk today. Good representation from the Team Coaches etc with Cadden1, Rudi walking and Joe on the start line, SDG and Liam C, Malky and Ian Gordon among others. There must have been over 200 walking and the announcer said Hibs have the biggest numbers from any club doing the Kiltwalks. A wee Sunshine on Leith and off they all went 459630760_8668961566467361_5181316630198995175_n.jpg

10 Days To Go
🚨

A reminder that there is still time to donate to our Cash for Kids fundraising page - the organisation that raises the most cash gets an extra £5,000 for their charity!
The funds raised will be used to support our para football arm @teamunitedsco who do vital work in our community - providing safe spaces for neurodivergent children to learn and socialise through the beautiful game

I know of a very good Chinese Chinese chef who is due to retire from restaurant cheffing quite soon. He thinks he may be interested in doing charity type work, he's already done Christmas day meal things somewhere. Would he be the sort of person the HCF would be interested in for the feeding folk stuff they do?

Eli is a participant in Ron Gordon's Extra Time programme, enabling children affected by inequality to participate in football-related activities. As a young child on the autistic spectrum, the programme has helped Eli become part of social groups: joining a local football team, starting extra-circular mixed martial arts, and increasing his attendance at school drastically.
Eli’s participation in Ron Gordon's Extra Time programme has also aided his mother, Marilyn, in achieving her own personal goals. With a little more time on her hands thanks to the programme, Marilyn has been able to complete her Masters qualifications whilst juggling working commitments, something she didn’t think possible when her responsibility sat primarily with caring for Eli and his siblings.
At last week’s Hibernian Community Foundation Supporters' Reception Eli and Marilyn were given the chance to share their story and promote all the benefits of being a part of the programme. As a young Hibee, Eli was also gifted a new shirt by Hibernian Football Club Men's First Team Manager David Gray, and got the chance to meet Captain Joe Newell.

On Sunday October 6 Haddington Athletic Youth Section played host to the Third Team United Regional League Meeting of the 2024/25 season, with all 8 East Region teams this time taking to the pitch battling some testing pre-winter conditions. The rain and wind didn’t halt enthusiasm, however, as 95 players from Hibernian Community Foundation, Bonnyrigg Rose, Edinburgh South, Haddington Athletic, Hutchison Vale, KSQ FC, Murieston United and Musselburgh Windsor enjoyed the chance to participate.
Each team had at least one new player integrating with their teammates for the first time, for some playing in their first ever organised football fixture. With some exciting and competitive football played, it’s these moments that Team United is all about and shouldn’t be lost in amongst all the fantastic stories that Team United produces.
Hibernian Community Foundation’s “Hibs Greens” participated on the day, performing well as a team with some touching moments of sportsmanship on display. All matches on the day finished with close results with all teams improving their performances with each meeting. The next competitive league fixtures will be played in the New Year, but stay connected to Hibernian Community Foundation and Team United’s channels to find out the details in addition to hearing about upcoming non-competitive football activity.
