Well done guys. Always gives me a wee warm feeling (no the Shrink kind) when I read about the great stuff you do. Keep it up and merry Christmas. 💚😇

We were thrilled to host Edinburgh chef Martin Wishart at our last Community Meal of 2024.
Martin was served by our volunteer Gayle and enjoyed meeting Leith locals over some home-cooked food, prepared by our dedicated volunteers.
We look forward to hosting Martin and further Edinburgh icons in 2025, working together to bring more options to our lunch options.

Is the foundation doing the Xmas Dinner deliveries this year Kev?
Hi EG, 180 meal packs being delivered and around 500 sit ins at Easter Road. Wednesday lunch club provided a Christmas Lunch to 111 of our regulars last week. We are opening the next 2 Fridays doing rolls and soup as last year the feedback was there was little food provision, over the festive period , in Edinburgh; this has been made possible due to the incredible generosity of Gillian in Morrisons Piershill.

Ive either missed (or more likely forgot) any threads on registering for delivering lunches for those less fortunate. Have the support got deliveries covered mate do you know?
Happy to rock up on Xmas day if needed.

Hi Kev,once again that's fantastic the work you and the volunteers are doing.
Got a question I've 2 older brothers still living in Edinburgh. One is in his 60s and lives on his own in wester hailes the other one is in his 70s and lives in Magdalene. Could they come along or is it just for the Leith area?

We kicked off our Hibs Heroes Camps for 2025 on Monday with a day camp at World of Football Marine Drive!
60 attendees braved the cold to hone their skills and make new friends, starting the year in the best way possible!
Our next Hibs Heroes Camp is February 10-14, and you can sign up your child here: https://hibs-community-foundation.classforkids.io/camps
Braved the cold, they would have been warmer doing wild swimming in the Forth.🥶

HCF would like to express our gratitude to abrdn for their fundraising efforts over the Christmas Appeal.
Hosting an in-house event at their Edinburgh office, staff members raised £527.55 for HCF, submitted to our Big Give match-funding campaign which saw it turned into £1055.10. abrdn head office then matched the original donation, rounding up to £600, seeing the entire amount raised come to £1655.10.
Thank you to all those who got involved, the funds went a long way to supporting our Christmas food provisions.

You can help HCF by choosing us in this years’ selection at Leith Chooses. All funds obtained through the 2025 vote will go towards our events for elderly people.
We are proud of the events and services we host for elderly people in the Leith community, and this year we are aiming to provide even more to give those who need it most the chance to socialise, have a community meal and participate in a dance.
If you have a moment, please click below to support our efforts. You have until February 3rd to make a difference
