Looks a good player.
Deal sound similar to the Elie Youan one, a loan with an option to buy.
He looks more a left sided winger than a striker....certainly no Nisbet replacement.
I think if he signs he would playing on the left with Elie Youan through the middle.
Interesting to see if this comes off.

He's only a year into a 4 year contract at Lecce.
Played 1632 minutes in 36 games in Serie A this season.
Seem unlikely he would be coming to Hibs unless there is a back story.

P.S. Watching him he never ever uses his left foot ... but his right foot is the business.

Getting all excited by a random player you’ve never heard of is part of the fun!
Of course it is!
Far better than a rumour linking us with a conference league player.
Now,
Where the &uck is Lecce.....

I'd be happy with that. Especially if we could shift a couple of our midfield.

He'd be a good replacement for the permanently injured Magennis and far superior to Hendo2.

I agree, McGrath is an upgrade on both of those players IMO.

Good from the penalty spot too!

Yeah, small legs and a lack of athletic ability was Mallan's downfall.
A great shame given he had obviously worked hard on every part of his game he had control over.

Absolutely, technically he was excellent. He’d have been a great player 15 years ago, the athletic side of the game has moved on so much since then.

RE McGrath; Jack Ross was very keen to sign him when he was Hibs manager. He rated him highly from his St Mirren days. Ends up down south at Wigan and then loaned to relegated Dundee United where he was regularly on the bench and never really established himself in the first team. Does usually score with penalties though. There must be something in this guy which makes respected managers in the game want him at their club. I'll trust our club to do the right thing here.

So?
McGrath scores goals.

And I think Mallan is still banging them in, record for a midfielder is decent.
Bangin' them in but in the Harry McKirdy league.
Only played 7 games this season for Salford and scored 3 goals.
Has had a horrendous time with injuries the last 2 seasons. Hopefully that is him clear now and he can get a proper run at it next season.

I'm not sure that's worth holding against him.
Scott Allan couldn't get a game for Dundee when we done the Bain, Murray, Allan swap.

Some teams work better for some players.
I think a Hibs team suits a McGrath better than a Dundee Utd team does.

That said, I've not seen much of him in the last couple years so I've no idea in truth, but I do remember him at St Mirren and he clearly had some talent.
Dunno if we go for him or get him, but if we do, then he's better business than 80% of what we done last year.
Step in the right direction.
