Rumour.

But will that change?, we all want it, it has to happen but the reality is does our decision makers.

That's what the DoF is for..

Ben literally said that they're to come in and fix the mistakes, the market strategy is a clear mistake.

We will still sign young players to make a buck, but im hoping the standard, quality, development, locality of each of these players will be, hopefully be far more targeted than it has been.

Eh? You called him a "yes man". Is that an "actual fact" or your opinion?

Just in case you missed it.

So at the outset he couldn’t praise the owners recruitment staff enough.

Each time he a new player was announced he was on video giving all the comments we all wanted to hear.

But when the real football starts, most of these signings are going out on loan or don’t feature in the first 11.

He only turned against the club due to his own failings, he picks the team he remains picking the same players that caused these issues for other Managers, so he is either trying to get himself sacked or they are not backing him and will get rid in the summer.

He is now twisting his comments again saying his relationship with the club, something stinks.

I'd keep the team.
They've done what they've been told imo.

Tell them to sign a different profile of player and I think they'll find them.
As I've said before, IMO they went overboard on the projects far too soon. The squad should have been properly consolidated first so that the prospects could have been properly broken in, ie. under far less pressure.

He’s got more chance of developing. McKirdy at 26 should be a ready made striker, he’s anything but.

Agree,
I think a 24 year old Melkerssen developing in the right environment is a completely different player to what we've got now and a far superior player to what McKirdy has shown us so far.

Don’t trust them to recruit the correct person for that role either.

Tbf, this was supposed to have started after we finished 3rd.
A third place team, with our record in that season under JR, should have been a solid foundation to go ahead and build on.

For whatever reason we done next to fuck all business and JR then made a bit of a *&*^ of the season.
Mathie sacrificed, JR sacrificed and we already had the wheels in motion and ran with it.
That was a mistake, a big one

It has to change this summer, if we don't do here and now business then we really should start worrying.

Given the names interviewed, I think we'll do fine.

Whether we actually let them do what needs done is the bigger concern and we'll have to wait and see.

Absolutely. Melkersen can come back a better player and still make something of himself at Hibs. If McKirdy wasn’t ready to make an instant impact, the question has to be asked what exactly the recruitment team saw in a 26 year old striker?

They saw, on their spreadsheet...

A 26 year old who scored 22 goals with 8 assists, at a ratio of less than 4 shots per goal.

Problem with spreadsheets.
Stats are nice, you know I like them, but even I know there's more to it than that.

That’s exactly what I think happened. I think if anyone with an understanding of the demands of the Scottish Premiership had gone and watched him, they’d have quickly decided he would physically struggle.

Stats should be there to support what the recruitment team see, not be the main factor IMO.

I think McKirdy could do well playing behind the strikers feeding off scraps and knockdowns . He's actually the only Hibs player who can play a with the outside of the foot

Hasn't been played as a striker so far.

It doesn’t make sense this loan, he isn’t good enough for us but he has gone on loan to a better team 🤷🏻‍♂️
Different style of football, nearer to home dispelling any chance of homesickness, and different style of play which may suit him better. He's not getting a game for us but that doesn't mean he isn't good enough, maybe just considered not ready yet. Remember it was Maloney who brought him.

I think he's getting an awful lot of unwarranted stick on here to be honest. He's not had a chance to settle into the team but he's being written off as being shite. I agree with you mate.

He's been a yes man since day 1. Would have been told at his interview he had to back the current recruitment policy and it was the owners way or no way. At the same time JDT told them to ram it.
Knowing his character better now as we do and reading fans reports from previous clubs we can see he's happy to claim ownership and take any praise for what he sees as good, positive stuff but equally quick to pass the buck when it goes tits up. I don't believe he's happy at Hibs but not sure he's working his ticket. That might be handed to him soon enough. Johnson v Gordon is a big game of one upmanship getting played out whilst the team suffers.
*All the above can't be claimed as fact but to me it's pretty obvious*

Nisbet is the only player that cannot be replaced this month. If we let him go this month we are truly fucked.

If Nisbet goes this month, I don't think Gordon will be here much longer

As I do.

For the amount of players that have left the club or on loan I would have expected new faces by now, it’s his as in Wee Lee’s biggest game of the season on Sunday and you need at least a week to bed in new players with their new team mates, the way Wee Lee wants them to play. Looks like the board are waiting to see the outcome of Sunday’s game before they waste more money.

The same attitude prevailed with Rocky.

Looks like it, loses on Sunday they'll blame Lee when we all know they haven't backed him.

Could be right and they could also be struggling to get who they want - for a prospective new player it’s potentially difficult to get motivated for to try a new challenge at a new club if you know the managers on a shoogly peg?

I don't see it. It's LJ that's deciding who's going out and I reckon there'll be 2-3 in who will be primarily his choices.

Did I not see something where he was hopeful of a couple of signings this week?

It was reported that players had to be moved out first before any come in, Lee seemingly said ( I don’t listen to him anymore) that a defender was joining us this week. Players have gone and now we are nearly into Wednesday of that week but still nothing. That would suggest to me that the board are waiting until Sunday before they decide on backing or sacking.

So you know what's going on without listening to the club's main spokesman? Nothing like informed opinion...
