It's an intereresting article. I didn't find it to be anti catholic, but rather highlighting the issues that might arise as policy develops. I loved the term 'cafeteria Catholic'. I know lots of them.

I would observe that Starmer got serious grief because his wife is Jewish and the family observe traditions. I think if Burnham was a Muslim this place would explode.

Well Rishi Sunak is a Hindu and apart from him being a disastrous Tory twat I can't mind any uprising about his religion.

There’s my point.
The UK is predominantly anti catholic and they don’t even hide it. Any wonder the country is a complete mess, sectarianism to the very top level.
But i suppose he did make it to PM.
In saying that the knives are out already by colleagues in his own party 🤣

But that’s the point. Because they are Protestant they have to be sectarian, it comes with the territory. The establishment are bigoted cvnts

I seem to recall St Tony Blair (as he's known in some parts 😆) joined the RC Church, under pressure from 'that scouse gits' daughter as soon as he stood down from PM/Westminster politics.

It's not a new thing.

It's not a very good thing (that it only seems to be an issue that he's Catholic) but I doubt the vast majority of people will give a shit. Probably even less as times go on leaving the bigots to fester in their own hatred.

how are they bigoted cvnts? I dont hear any anti catholic rhetoric coming from them.
The king is the head of the church of england so he has to be a protestant just as the pope as the head of the catholic church has to be a catholic, is the catholic church bigoted cvnts?
And all of this has affected your life how?
