Despite it being a good match to watch, there were very few if any real clear cut chances created by either side.
It was disappointing not to win a home game against a team we would have went above in the league had we won.
Hibs didn't merit any more than a point though in my opinion.
I think any criticism of our strikers is harsh . There is not much you can do when there is such a lack of creativity.
When all you have to work with is long punts forward to chase, and the very occasional decent cross into the box, it's no surprise we only managed one goal.
I see Bowie getting a bit of stick...I thought he done the best he could with what he had to work with.
I don't think he is ever going to be a goal machine, but he will score a few and he has all the other attributes needed for a modern day striker in that is he physically strong, and links well with other players. I know i'm like a stuck record, but I don't think he can play as a target man with his back to goal. We are just not getting the best out of him playing him where we are.
Thibault Klidge is just not being given any sort of proper service or, more importantly, a proper run of games to seriously prove himself in this league.
I think he is a good player and could get goals in this league with some decent service to him and an experienced player in the front line for him to play off.
We missed Nicky Cadden on Saturday, and especially Martin Boyle who for me is still our best forward.
Josh Campbell was also missed as he is easily our best player in the air, and provides a goal threat from midfield.
Overall, with so many players out, ill, or not ready to play...I think a point was a decent result against a good team....who were also missing one of their best players.
We are in a fight for fourth spot finish with Motherwell, and it would increase our chances greatly of achieving that if we could get in a big, experienced physically strong striker who can play with his back to goal, and a right wing-back before the end of the window.
