I was one of the 1% who always thought he was a footballer and never understood the vitriol directed towards him. Anyway, who cares? He was immense today, as were the whole team.

In the boozer earlier and about 2 hours after we arrived the folk on the local gunt bus started coming in. Talked tae my laddies pal and he telt me the driver didnae have a clue where he was going. They only realised this when one of them spotted a sign for Hillington! :hertz:
 
Newall possibly finest hour today however that doesn't change my opinion on him being hit and miss throughout his time and this GIRUY if you had the gaul to say as such previously is rather poor.

Klidge could have scored a hatrick today and that would not have made his previous performance any better.

Newall was fantastic today and that's great that today was one of his hits and it was at the right time.

Second half we started to wobble with about 20 minutes to go and started to hoof the ball and couldn’t get much possession. Sallinger can make some great saves but he makes me nervous when he makes passes out of defense and oftentimes puts a teammate in bad situations. Newell played well today and hopefully he can produce this level of performance more frequently. GGTTH!!

Perhaps the professor knows how to get the best out of him. If so, great. Now we just need consistency and none on here will complain.
 
2026 is the year that keeps on giving.

Hearts thinking they were going to win a league title, only to blow it right at the end.

But they'll be in the Champions League... hammered by Sturm Graz.

Then skelped by Benfica. Blowing it in the final five mins v Aberdeen. Horsed 7-1 by Celtic.

And now, lose the derby at Hampden to Hibs.

What could put the icing on the cake for this year? Hibs to lift the League Cup in December...

Great win today for Hibs....and a long overdue derby victory at Hampden.
Just had a feeling we would edge it in this game against the odds.
Cup final is a month and a half away however, and we have lot of work to do till then to hall ourselves up the league.
Hopefully this memorable win today can kick start what has been an otherwise miserable campaign.

Well done Hibs.

I believe in Marrik. His ideas are now bearing fruit and I believe the players are buying in to it. The dressing room video was fantastic, man management to the highest level. We should be climbing the table soon, and the zombies havent beaten us at Hampden since 1979.

Watching it back on the train down south too early this morning but everyday should start with watching us beat the yams - it’s beautiful to see twice!
