Hi folks,

I’m still getting used to The Bounce so to speak so I’m not sure if this is the best place to post.

My mate Dave and I host a mental health drop in at Easter Road stadium. It’s usually the last Monday of the month but due to commitments we’ve moved the next one.

Monday 3rd November 7pm kick off outside the club shop.

It’s free, confidential and safe

Open to all men, not just Hibs fans

Thanks

Excellent, well done mate, its fine posting it here.

Don’t know if you have already done this is but contact the Club about an inclusion in the matchday programme and poster info in the 4 stands.
That’s a good point

There’s times we have had a bit of support, one of the guys who comes along was brave enough to tell his story and posters were put up for a Derby (I think we won it!)

Going forward it could be something else that happens. Watch this space

Do recall we had a joint health initiative with NHS Lothian ?, you could maybe contact them and reinforce the message on your drop in and on mental health, also the Royal British Legion, Poppyscotland and other armed forces charities, especially with the run up to poppy week.

Hi N, all the best with it, I’ll share with a few folk. I’d pop along but I play football every Monday night.

Has the changing room / samh funded MH stuff now folded?
Good question!

As it is it’s stopped. The SoS drop ins that me and Dave host were off the pack of this when we wanted to support people after the 12 week course.

There’s a change in leadership at the community foundation with Katie Stewart now over seeing it. There’s a chance it may well come back

I was at the SAMH Changing Room alumni event at Tynie last week. Loads of different clubs represented. My opinion is that the changing room stagnated a bit. There’s great work being done but it could have been better if that makes sense

The next Sos drop in to help men tackle their mental health through football and Hibs is next Monday 23 February!

Meeting at 7pm at the club shop. We’ll have a guest speaker on none other than Hibs TV commentator Cliff Pike!

Its free, safe and confidential

We had a good drop on last night. Cliff Pike came along and gave an interesting insight into his role as the Hibs TV commentator

Also had a visit from Yibee the puppet!

More details to follow on the next drop in!
Keep up the good work. You might be inundated if the jambos win the league!
Seriously though well done, you'll be making a difference to some people's lives for the better 👏

Next Sos drop in is a walk and talk around the Easter Road pitch!

Monday 6 April meeting at the club shop at 7pm

It’s free, safe and confidential and open to all men no matter who you support

See you there

💚

Might need a comma in the thread title if the Gunts keep scraping wins......

Mental health drop, in at Easter Road.
