What you're eating. What you're drinking. What you're watching?

Scanning beans on toast.

Guzzlin vimto.

Watching another episode of Clarksons Farm.

So the auld yin is off to a 40th birthday party up in Nitten today. Sooooo

Scranning hopefully a decent buffet.

Guzzlin anything that's going.

Watching folk having a decent day (well it's no going to be my waistline 😞).

Plate of stew, strawberry water, watching a Concert for George on Sky Arts.

It was going to be Penne with Gorgonzola and Walnuts until the wife phoned to ask if I fancied a Red Dragon pizza from Taste takeaway in Whitburn. One 10” fire roasted pizza later and I’m downing a Steinhäuser bier or two and reading the bounce - still fuming at that cup final result

Polenta crusted salmon fillet with preserved lemon sauce, samphire and new potatoes accompanied by a nice couple of glasses of Gavi.
Now on Mortlach 12 and watching Your Friends and Neighbours.

Last night I reached for @1875 standards:

A somewhat ecumenical effort to reconcile Greece and Turkey;

Chicken thighs marinated in lemon, olive oil, garlic, dijon mustard, thyme and oregano, accompanied by red onion marinated in sumac*, cayenne, red wine vinegar and more olive oil - which also provided the dressing for a salad.

Spiffing it was too, and easy to prep.

* Sumac is a recommendation to bounce chefs. A hard to describe but punchy Turkish spice.

Scranning Morrisons spicy chorizo (and it has a healthy kick).

Guzzlin vimto.

Watching dafties getting arrested in Peru thinking they can smuggle gear out and then ending up in Perus version of the Bar L

Just back from eating Roast beef, gammon and turkey, assorted veg, drinking Kopparberg mixed fruits zero and watching the end of Mobland.

Asparagus tart with side salad.
White Burgundy.
Espresso
Wild Turkey 101
Watching Billy Joel on BBC.

Just back from NYC. Visited the Hibernia Bar on Hells Kitchen (50th & 9th). Barman was from Greenock and complimented my wife and I on our Hibs t-shirts.

Beef Crisps, strawberry water and watching the darts. Got my money refunded yesterday for Billy Joel’s cancelled concert.

My Hibs hat was on the gantry in there. There was a darts match against another bar the last time we were in, reminded me of the auld Captains Cabin on a Monday night.😁

Aye. I saw this and wondered if it might give you some kind of paltry substitute for that disappointment. Hope he gets well soon.

Aye me tae, think we have seen the last of him working though, which is a shame. I was going tae watch last night but decided on the darts.

Avocado on toast is a revelation.
Add a small twist of pink salt, a tiny squeeze of lime, a very light dusting of chilli flakes and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Delicious and healthy.
For Gods sake tell me there's no butter on your toast.

I don’t eat butter mate.

It may be M; it's also the hallmark dish of the hipster ;))

They have a shared interest in the mullet as well. :coffee1:
An Aussie Hibs pal tells me you are right, tories, toffs and jambos eat it. Back to a full Balinese tomorrow. 😀

Can you eat yoghurt and cheese? One of my sprogs makes a wicked hipster alternative from swishing together feta, chilli flakes and Greek yoghurt into a spread, then slathering on toast (sourdough natch). This is then topped with honey and walnuts.

It's good enough to have me considering a mullet and use of a unicycle to get around.
