Tv series

A ken, get a life, but I watch the bidding room from Leith just seen Easter Road on it . So what I hear you say 🤣

Alien Earth.

Good start with some decent shenanigans going on.
Watched first one yday and at the end it began to dawn on me, thickie that I am, that this is no more than some tv version of the Alien franchise of Sigourney Weaver fame.

That's right, innit? Jist fae a coupla glimpses if the critter anyway.

Sorry if everyone else already knew that.

Probably skip the rest...

A lot of disgruntled viewers after last night's episode of Destination x.The bus was in a ferry in Venice.I was pretty sure it was Venice from the clues, but have never been there so don't know where you park.Still a poor man's Traitors though.

Finished Untamed at the weekend, started really well but got a bit daft by the end. The final episode was nonsense, like they had only written enough material for 5 episodes but the network demanded 6 so they just cobbled any old crap together.

Seen a trailer for “ sitting bull “ on the history channel on sky starting on september 1st, looks good, will give it a go and report back ( obv you’ll need to be a sky subscriber 😩🤣 )

I have 2 to go, enjoying it immensely
Watched them all now and not exactly overwhelmed. Mrs Wishbone and myself (who rarely agree on tv stuff) both thought the main guy wasn't up to it. Too wooden and understated for us like most of the male characters and the script/plot a bit too Machiavellian overall. I know a few folk who have seen it and their reviews were pretty mixed with some enjoying it as much as your good self. To be fair we have tried to watch a shedload of 6/8 episode series of differing themes and hardly stayed the course with any of them (we feel most are too predictable or poorly cast) so maybe we are expecting too much?
My knees have stopped me from going skateboarding :coffee1: so I watch a lot of tv - perhaps too much?

Watched Peaky Blinders again. Forgot how shite it got at the end.

Been watching lots of wee clips of Pawn Stars.

Anyway this one is of interest to the music folks. It's all vinyl.

The first customer has a Beatles collection and he is looking for $26,000 for it....

I watched Amsterdam Narcos Sky Docs, the 1st 2 eps are pretty predictable but the 3rd and final episode is unbelievable 🫣
Turned into a national scandal.

Probably been done to death months ago somewhere in this thread, but I am usually late to the TV party.

The Bear is absolutely brilliant.

I'm 15 minutes into episode 1. Does it get any less frantic?
Thanks for the recommendation aggie but now 24 minutes in and binned it.
I'd really love to hear others views on this. I have serious tinnitus and also hard of hearing. Far too many people shouting off camera, speaking with mouths full etc.
Far too hard to follow.

Just watched the latest Alien Earth. Good episode.

Now watching The Terminal List: Dark Wolf.

And although a couple of years old have any yous watched this? Set in Iraq it's about a bizzie trying to find his lassie.

Oh and the main character is an Iraqi and there are plenty Iraqi actors in it.

Baghdad Central....

I agree. Thought episode 5 was excellent. Episode 4 was a bit of a wobble and I was worried that it would turn shit after that. Only grumble is showing the xenomorph standing to its full height and obviously being a man in an alien suit. Sometimes less is more.

Watching The Paper,a spin off from The Office.

If you liked the American version then you’ll enjoy this.

Binged “The Undoing” on Sky Atlantic during the week, great television. Think it came out during Covid and I missed it. Star-studddd cast including Hugh Grant, Nicole Kidman and the late Donald Sutherland who is brilliant in it. Nice to see something with a good story all wrapped up in 6 episodes.

Been recommended “I Fought the Law” on ITV so that’s next on the list.

Watched it all last night… it was really good.
