Tv series

Alien Earth episode 8 is the dugs bollocks.

And the first two episodes of series 5 of Slow Horses have dropped.

Away to watch them 😁

I'm four episodes into Dexter: Resurrection and it's a surprising return to form. Hopefully it's as enjoyable to the end.

Gory and darkly funny. Its striking that stylish but trashy balance that made the early series so much fun.

No sure if I’d like Alien Earth… not a clue what’s it’s about though… i know.
🙈🤣 It sounds science fiction shit 🤷‍♂️

Think punters from the Inch in alien form and a few Gracemount types.

That's it in a nutshell

Finished S1 of Alien Earth, bloody brilliant. Contains all of the best elements of the film franchise. Going to continue with Black Rabbit tonight

Just watched “Hitlers death army: Das Raich”
I’m not even going to try and put it into words how sick these bastards were. 😞
Unbelievably harrowing and unfuckin human.
I'll not be watching that then.
It's weird how there is an abiding fascination with Nazi Germany and concentration camps. Every second title on the shelves is The Tailor of Auschwitz or some such.
Of course that sort of thing could never happen today.

Yep a regine that lasted 12 years yet the world over have some form of National Socialist groups.

A few channels on cable TV would collapse if it wasn't for the third Reich.

Tend to agree. But the more interesting thing in a way is a virtual absence - certainly by comparison - coverage of communism's appalling legacy. This must be a contributor to its continued (relative) respectability.

Aside from that, at least imho, communism is a far more interesting story.

Watched '9 bodies in a Mexican Morgue '

If you do not have a car to wash, or nails to clip, then watch it.
Otherwise.....

Watched the first ten minutes then switched over - looked a bit low budget to me.
It was fuckin tragic.
First couple of episodes were ok, but by the end yer thinking 'aye, right!'
From that fat bird fae Derry girls wi her horrendous southern gal accent to the set which looked like something my 6 year old grandson would have built with his lego.
Ye live and learn.

On to Slow Horses with my hero ,Jackson Lamb.

The 9 bodies thing is being bigged up by the grauniad and so reading the reviews here I'll give it a miss.

But the brilliant Blue Lights series 3 has dropped.

Looking forward to How are you? -Alan( Partridge) starting this Friday at 9.30. The pompous but likeable buffoon as this lad points out on RTE Radio 1 that I listened to one week ago summed Alan up. A spendid 6 minute summation.

Of all the TV comedy that I've seen on TV over several decade I can honestly say that Knowing Me Knowing You was the funniest series I've ever watched and that includes the much lauded Monty Python which I watched live episode by episode from 1969.
Whether this 6 episode mockumentry is up there I wait to see but will give it a dash.
Alan's face and comments during the aforementioned daytime TV show piss take series, as mentioned by the guy on RTE, at his Irish guest played by Coogan is priceless splendid, as he tried to get his dog handling clip shown as he realised his guest was singing a rebel song.

The first 4 series were spot on.
If its any indicator, the critic ( not the same one who loved '9 bodies!) from the Guardian said series 5 wasn't up to scratch.
She gave it 3 stars.
Has she seen the whole lot? That's a shame. But then it is hard to maintain such a quality.
