Tv series

Just finished Malice. A third rate Talented Mr Ripley. David Duchovny was good. Jack Whitehall not so much.

Finished 'Disclaimer' on the firestick.
Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline, Sacha Baron Cohen, Lesley Manville and Leila George.
Decent watch, but the 7 episodes draw it out a bit too much.
Could've been done in 5 with less filling.

I get pissed off with this now. It’s quantity over quality. It’s so obvious when filler is put in.

Just finished The Beast In Me. Eight episodes when six would have been plenty. It’s ok but I just about bailed after 30 minutes because the dialogue and characters were awful. It has some good moments and cliff hangers but by the time you get to episode eight, the characters, the acting and dialogue is annoying and you just want it to be over.

Binge-watched Summerwater with Dougray Scott and the wonderful Shirley Henderson. Enjoyable but like many series it was dragged out a bit.

Watched 2 episodes thought it was shite.
Same with breaking bad. Utter tosh
Took me a long time to even give the Sopranos a look. When I did I loved it. Tried a couple of times with Breaking bad but gave up early each time.

Just finished American primeval, 6 part western set in Utah in mid 1800s, on netflix. Decent if not astounding similar vibe to the revenant, bone crunching violence, beautiful drab cinematography and a bit of history I never knew about the mountain meadows massacre and the Mormon militia. Some nice Shoshone action too. Would recommend if you gloss over the couple of sloppy tropes I love a western btw.

I was the same with Breaking Bad, keep saying I will go back tae it but never do.
Watched second Landman episode, Dallas with sweary words.

Half way through season 1 of Landman, pretty good. Billy Bob Thornton always worth a watch. Demi Moore is billed as the other major star but she’s only said about 2 lines. Presume she becomes more central in later episodes

Started season 2 Kev. It's excellent. Aye more of Moore in the second season.

Just finished the first series of Fallout, a weird, post apocalyptic, dystopian, confusing load of nonsense. Or so I thought after the first few episodes but it starts to become clear and I enjoyed it.
Series 2 incoming. looking forward to it.

EDIT: Just seen @Cavalier post

Watching Cooper and Fry at the moment. It's not fast paced but it's decent.

I watched that, there seemed to be 2 completely different story threads going on and they just happened to cross at one point. Nice filming, good acting, great action scenes. Worth a watch, but it won't get in the way of your scrolling.
Betty Gilpin was rather good in this, amongst others.

Today I will be mostly watching Series 1 of The Night Manager on the Iplayer in preparation for the new series starting on NYD
I need to rewatch that too ahead of the new series.
The scene in that first series where they are sitting in at a restaurant window with the Matterhorn in the background, is the hotel I stayed at the last time I was in Zermatt - Chalet Hotel Schönegg.

Beautiful place Zermatt, just spent a day there but remember thinking "Who the feck could afford to stay here?"

Now I know.
:coffee1:

Just finished Earth Abides. A post apocalypse tale with none of the zombie head bashing so common now, although one head does get bashed in.
