Tv series

Watched the first episode of Down Cemetery Road. Not impressed so far. I like Ruth Wilson and Adeel Akhtar but Emma Thompson is like a female Temu Jackson Lamb. Feels like a cash in on the success of Slow Horses.
Sorta agree and Emma Thomson is one of the most irritating luvvies there is, in a competitive field. That said, for all his slavish adherence to bourgeois mores - slow horses is 9 books in and never grappled with what is 80 to 90% of the real MI5 workload (other to invert it as spooks did before) - but he's a strong plotter and Ruth Wilson is always watchable. So I'm still in for now.

Folk I've told that I've honestly never seen a single episode of Strictly Come Dancing, Traitors, that Bake Off thing nor ever heard a single Taylor Swift song, though absolutely true, look at me as though I'm mental. One other one as I related on the Cowshed which was similar, was one that I heard about but brought to my attention more so by a mate who phoned that in the last episode as the main character was dying Baby Blue by the cripplingly tragic Badfinger one of my all time favourite power pop bands played during the final scene and the closing credits, and the show's creator, chose it to reference the guys Blue meth and his career as a drug kingpin.
So with that rather long preamble I'm going to start watching Braking Bad from first episode to the last.
Not in one 62 hour binge I may add.

Started watching Celebrity The Traitors at the weekend, binned after less than one episode. What a pile of pish. General rule of thumb for me is; if anything is incredibly popular on terrestrial TV don't watch it, it'll be garbage.

Just watched a YouTube clip of Baby Blue - Badfinger were indeed a right good band - also noticed their bass player used the same amplification as me. Wasn’t there a link between them and Edison Lighthouse? Pete Ham? Sorry for going off at a tangent.

After seeing it get good mentions here, started with se1ep1 of Slow Horses. Glad to see it wasn't aa much like Spooks as I had thought so will stick with ut fir now.

I don't binge much either, so it will be probs 1 or 2 eps per week. Slow horses for courses.

I wasn't to keen and watched a couple of episodes at first but it got really good so it's worth sticking with it.

Don't think so M. Tragic story. Worked their arses off for a wage despite several hits. Manager ripped them off to the tune of £2million. Pete Ham took his life in 1975 as did Tom Evans in a similar manner some years later. Pete and Tom co wrote and recorded with Badfinger the classic Without You, before Harry Nilsson or Mariah Carey had smash hits with it.

Has anyone watched “ the death of bunny munro “ trailer looks ok 🤔
Oops, thought it was a follow up series, but not, will give it a go anyway. Soz

Anyone watched Plur1bus? It's the latest from Vince Gilligan of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul fame. Sounds interesting.

Season 4 episode 1 of the Witcher.

Utter mince.
I'll bet. The reviews have been horrendous. Cavill walking away was a warning not to bother. It had already turned into the Ciri and Yennifer show with Geralt as a bit-part player in his own story. Won't be bothering with the latest turd sandwich.

Speaking of acting, I’m no expert but IMO shetland has the worst acting I’ve ever seen . I have to leave the room as I continually comment about it and it annoys the mrs so I go upstairs and find some sport to watch on the hookie stick ( got two you know 😏 )

It's basically River City with nice scenery. Should have canned it after Henshall and the other good actors left.
