Tv series

I've recently re-read a couple of Morse books. I can't find any of the original Morses on streaming, but I (re)watched the first couple of episodes of Lewis last night. It makes a great change from the more glossy stuff being produced more recently.
I read the first Morse book a while back , I managed to find the same episode by doing a search on my Sky Box

Morse is on ITV X if you can get it in France (which you will be able to with a VPN and a fake postcode)

Any yous watching Clarksons Farm?

Fuck me but the council are very petty.

Quite enjoyed it, despite struggling to hear Sly on occasion, sounds punchdrunk.

Started on From which is quite Stephen King-ish.
Aye sometimes it was hard going listening to Sly.

Good wee premise for a show though.

Taylor Sheridan is a good writer .

Just put on't first episode of Daisy Jones & the Six.

Meant to be loosely based on Stevie Nick's and Lyndsay Buckingham apparently.

Been watching Ted Lasso. Quite enjoying it to be fair
Finally someone else that watches it!

I don't think it's quite caught on over here but IMDb rates at 8.8. Overall thought it was a good fun show. Love the Roy Kent character. Season 3 in mid March might be the last.

After about 13 years Party Down has returned and it hasn't not lost any of it's humour. Adam Scott is really on a roll at the moment with the success of his other show Severance.

For fans of shows like Scrubs, Silicon Valley, the Office US and Brooklyn Nine Nine. If you're not into US comedy probably not for you.

Good series.

The third series of Ted Lasso has been released.

Just watching the first episode

Stuck with The Last of Us and finished season 1 on Monday night. Really good, shame the first season was limited to 9 episodes.

A couple of episodes I thought were needlessly long and a bit boring, but the bloodletting in other episodes made up for that.
:happy-1:

On part 3 of a documentary series on Yatube about the Gulag.

Lots of footage of the poor fuckers being used as slave labour.

Women were basically there to be used and abused by guards.

Picard season 3, my favouritest ever Star Trek character back. I realise that reads as if it was Picard, but it was the character in episode 5 that reappeared. Out of nowhere, don't think they had done anything trek in nigh on 30 years.

Enjoying the Mandalorian too.

Some epic writing in Picard, the reunion from the penultimate episode of STTNG, preemptive strike, was brilliant
I gave up on Picard after the first episode, is it worth persevering with? STTNG is possibly my favourite TV series ever for reference! Watched most of DS9 but found everything that's come since to be a bit of a disappointment.

Season 3 has been pretty good, the characters and theme of episode 5 was from writers who clearly get STTNG. You could just about watch it without having watched season 1 and 2.

There was some really good stuff in season one and two but it could be slow.

I’d recommend Star Trek Discovery, and I intend to start Brave new Worlds at some point this year.

Apart from that first episode of Picard, I think I gave up after the one with the boy out of Quantum Leap in it (Enterprise?). Will revisit Picard as need something to binge. I think that might be part of the reason I never stuck with it before - couldn't binge it at the time as new episodes were being released weekly.

Enterprise? That killed the franchises. It was just a bad idea. Could never get into it.

Couldn’t get into ST: Discovery. Too much CGI and storylines that were far removed from the series I grew up watching.
ST: Brave New Worlds is more like the original series and is great.
ST: Picard is good but I’m at an age where I’m not following the plot.

I'm at an age where I’m losing the plot, too.
