I don't mind the ESTA stuff as it is now. I don't even mind the proposed extension to DNA and wider family networks. I do think the social media stuff is a bridge too far. I say that as some who doesn't post much on social media. It's the vagueness as to what might be deemed offensive or disbarring that I don't like.

Added to that, an ESTA is only a permission to fly. You have to go through immigration screening before you get in.

So introducing vague assessments as to whether you can even fly there, which may fold into reasons why you aren't allowed in the country when you land, doesn't scream come and visit us.

I think he probably gets away with it on Venezuela given the drugs they pump into the US, not so sure he gets away with it on Iran.

Out of interest did you post any comment, with condemnation or not, of the complete disregard and contempt Maduro gave to his defeat in the election July 2024?

Every time the Trump administration or Israeli government pulls off another crime against humanity you are right in there trying to justify their actions or denounce other poster’s horror calling it anti west or anti semitism.

The prick has now initiated a military offensive against a sovereign country to effect regime change and help himself to their resources all under the guise of drug shipping. Yet here you are parroting the White House. Are we to wait until Trump decides he is wanting our oil reserves in the North Sea and bombs Aberdeen before you say, hold on a minute?

Been a while since Venezuela was a cause celebre (and forum darling) but congratulations to president Maduro on his amazing election victory. Defying expectations with 51% of the vote, when exit polls had shown the opposition on 70%, Madders stands tall with his vision vindicated by the electorate. Promises of bloodshed if defeated I think we can put down to exhaustion after a gruelling electoral campaign.

Its all quite reminiscent of Trump tbh.

It features :

- Billy commenting, with traditional one liner
- Trump shills not shilling for Trump
- Unless you count Ryan, who has subsequently changed his tune and joined the rest of the ZOG / post truth / bounce far right on Trump as well as other things
- Big G acknowledging - naturally in the form of an RCP article - Maduro's hijinks, though last night he was grumbling this was the US attempting to coerce people to vote their preferred way

Because Russia losing part of its empire to result in a never before existing country in 1991 is a totally illegitimate complaint, despite the feeling of ethnic Russians in that territory.

Which is of course in marked distinction to the anger of Arabs at loss of part of a no longer existing Islamic empire, and restoration of a nation that predates it. In that case the feelings of ethnic Arabs are all, and imperialist legacy is in the right.

Can't maintain coherence from one sentence to the next. Which is what happens, I guess, when you base your positions on who you are against, rather than any principles or logic.

Its wild watching the incoherent mess people get themselves into and it's glossing by me tooing by other pretzel shaped fellas.

I mean I guess it's also not America's business that Venezuela pumps it (and Europe) full of drugs, while a war in Europe that Europe is doing fuck all about, should be very much it's business, indeed priority number one.

Venezuela's central role in distribution of cartel cocaine affects rather a lot of people. And they are governed by a dictator who actually did steal an election.

I'm not saying this justifies American action BTW, just pointing out you are all over the place.

There’s folk on here saying much the same about you in your first two paragraphs.

Again you’re parroting the line on the US being pumped full of drugs from Venezuela. Firstly, the population that needs their fix will source it from anywhere. Maybe the idea of making American great is to feed their own drugs. Keep it in house.
Secondly, and less flippant, it’s up to a country’s law enforcement agencies to combat it, not invade another nation.

Hardly all over the place. I haven’t disagreed with Venezuelan drug production or that they have a dictator in charge of the country, but you’ve finally agreed it does not justify America bombing the country.

What do you mean by 'parroting the line'? Are you suggesting it doesn't happen?

I'm not convinced by the way that this is their only or even main reason for going after Putin's ally on their doorstep, I'm mentioning it only as one flaw in your contradictory arguments.

Edit - looks like law enforcement have been involved. I wonder how else they might proceed when a foreign dictator is reluctant to submit to arrest by the DEA?
