Obviously both sides have their rancid knuckledraggers, but among more educated sorts the liberal set seem far more animated by hatred and it long predates the Trump phenomenon. Same in the UK tbh.

Thinking more, you may have a point. Theres definately more "lumpen bams" on the right, and more educated on the left. Still feel the more educated on each side are spewing similar levels of bile....

That's not what I mean. I mean Billy Bob from Alabama and his assault rifles and pedophile pizza shops. Is Politico biased one way or the other? Gallup poll mind, ghey're reasnably reliable?

Can Trump trim his anti-immigration sails or will he somehow double down on this too?

Suspect Americans are much more relaxed now illegal migration has dropped to almost zero, and the race baiters have been put back in their box. I think that was the main beef over there, they dont have the same issues we do tbh.

I'm reminded of some CIA Bin Laden hunter I once heard speak at Edinburgh book festival, who was saying it was a lot of fuss over nothing in the US, much to the pleasure of a festival audience.

On the way out I asked him if he felt the same about europe. "No, you're fucked", was the answer to that.

You only need to look at who immigrates (legally) to the US vs Europe to understand his differing assessments.

According to the report, the message – prepared for Epstein’s 50th birthday – ‘featured several lines of typewritten text framed by what appeared to be a hand-drawn outline of a naked woman’.

It is also said to include the cryptic comment: ‘We have certain things in common Jeffrey.’

Trump is threatening to sue.

TBH, while obviously I don't know what is in the files, I don't think Trump was the same as Epstein. He likes stylish trophy wives and young girls aren't that. But he hung out with him, knew what he was like and there is a bit of fog as to how Mrs Trump came to be in the country. Could that be it?
 
Once Donald has eventually been emptied I think more effort will be put into the Epstein files.

Unless the files could well damage the democrats then the whole dark story will be sidelined.

The Epstein Files have opened up another case of them but not us...imagine there existing a list list of average everyday people who were confirmed clients of a pedophile. Within days of this list being found, every single person on that list would be in for questioning and arrest. No questions asked. Here we have the list, but a different "pedigree" of people and what is the US government doing but no other than sitting with their thumbs up their asses. Democrats, Republican...I don't give a rats ass, if you're on the list you're getting dragged in by your ears and questioned. WTF are we doing as a society when we can't protect our kids because we're worried about white collar criminals being caught. F*ck this Sh*t!
