Our pet jambo popped in after his work for a visit.

Who remembers the back of the evening news years ago with the for the fans bit detailing all the buses and times to go to games.

Who also remembers the Merricks used to have a mob who travelled by train and it's was called Saville Travel.

Anyhoo he told me this that I didn't know.....

Margaret Sinclair was Hibs daft,there's a bit about her in one of Alan Lugtons books,her family paid for a season ticket in the main stand to get her away from the uncouth terraces but she went back anyway.
I think Saville and O'brien put paid too her being Sainted
 
Yesterday actually, but I learned that NHS waste is everywhere. I was on 2.5mg a day of one medication and it’s been increased to 5mg. I only received a batch of the 2.5mg pills a week ago. Doc told me to throw them away and start taking the 5mg ones immediately. When I suggested taking 2 x 2.5mg a day to use them up first I could almost hear her doing the mental arithmetic before agreeing that was a sensible idea.

That's because the Iliad recounts events that end weeks before the fall of Troy; Homer wouldn't have known about it at the time of writing. Achilles, on the other hand, is the main character in the story, so he is definitely mentioned.

Both incidents are in the Odyssey mate, as flash back stories. I was just surprised neither was in the first poem.

As I've said, the wooden horse couldn't be in the iliad because the book finishes before the fall of troy so Homer would have no knowledge of it at the time. Achilles was in the iliad, he was the main character.
