The Manchester incident was an outcome of a militant ideology that absolutely needs countered and not swept under the carpet.
If this is a mental, what lessons are there to be learned, what corrective action is to be taken other than mourning the dead and comforting their bereaved?
It doesn’t look like the same thing at all to me. I may turn out to be wrong, but the killer has Rwandan parents. Rwanda is not a hotbed of Islamism.

Not forgotten to me. I walked through the exact spot the bomb went off for months just prior to it happening. And given what I saw around the place, sadly it wasn’t that much of a surprise.
But this situation does not appear connected with anything like that by the info available so far.
That may turn out to be inaccurate and maybe we are being misdirected. If that turned out to be the case there would and should be hell to pay. But I see no reason to be going Ryan style. This looks to me to fit a pattern, but a different pattern.

Its everything to do with it and it’s not semantics. I’m 100% in agreement that if we have a mental ideology spawning slaughter at its extremes we should get them to fuck.
But if it’s a mentally ill kid gone amok, that’s not the same thing at all; there are plenty lessons to be learned about interventions etc but it’s nothing do with the utter clusterfuck we are making with parallel societies.

What bams am I following ? FFS bairns have been slaughtered? Are you not fuckin annoyed?
I have visited Southport and stayed in the town many times. I found it a fairly quiet yet pleasant backwater in many ways. My relative there would always describe it as 'boring', I quite liked it though. It's absolutely nothing like Blackpool or indeed Liverpool, 20 miles down the coast. In the past it has been a very wealthy and prosperous town, with some very large homes built by textile business owners in Manchester and the like. I always found it quite prosperous and very atypical of most UK seaside resorts.
In modern day, it was a big place for wealthy Merseyside footballers to make their home, Kenny Dalglish had a fancy place there that looked like a scaled down Buckingham Palace to my eyes. Lawro lived in the area too. In general, it's quite 'middle class' and a million miles away from Blackpool in that sense.
Once a year, the people in Southport dread the Orange day parade walk when trains full of Scousers traditonally travel to the town and spend the day on the drink, marching down Lord Street and generally being arseholes.
Todays' nonsense, as well of course as the tragic events of yesterday will be a total shock to the people of Southport. I can say that for certain.

Jimmy, in my time I’ve had blades waved at me as I expect you have too. Only once though has it been for real rather than willy waving and I’ve had to jump into a situation when someone was actually getting plunged repeatedly and, having decked the *&*^ doing it, managed to end up on the floor with him on top of me. A bunch of wanks that these days would have their phones out ignored my pleas to kick the boys blade away cos he was always getting up and to it ahead of me. Nearly got my throat cut for me troubles and I think he stuck some folk after.
I like to think I’d have the stones to do it again if I’d been walking past that place though I’m older and weaker now and I just don’t know.
But suffice to say; I’m not a teddy bear layer by nature. That’s not the choice though. Two sets of cnuts, I choose neither,
