Scottish Elections (2026)

Labour activists have been caught breaking electoral rules at multiple Scottish polling stations by putting party campaign material at voting booths.
Think Anus is in a bit soapy.

Well Billy I'm sure there will be a few new snouts getting fed at the troughs after the morn.

Aye was just reading on social media of a fair few people reporting that at there polling stations also others with Tory leaflets, personally I dont think any of the party's should have people standing outside polling stations annoying folk either

Welsh Labour getting skelped by the sounds of it.

Burnham has pulled out of a speech tommorow in Manchester, Starmer could well be on his way....

Has to go now after that result, his party will see him gone im sure even though he says he's going nowhere.
Just watched an interview with the android and he has absolutely no way of connecting with the public.

He's like one of those government dafties who cannot see life outside of what the computer screen tells them.

Across in guardianista land Polly Toynbee is now calling for Proportional Representation.

The readers comments are good pointing out that she only wants PR because labour are getting a severe kicking.....

Whoever wins today’s elections, democracy is the loser under first past the post | Polly Toynbee.

Seems the main questions are will SNP get a majority (probably not) and who'll come second 4 way race between Reform, Libs, Lab and Greens.

Wonder if SNP will seek minority govt or a coalition with Greens or even Libs....

Turnout 51% which seems low but is apparently normal for holyrood

Weird yo not have the results by now, counting just started

Is it no because of the PR system us and the Welsh use for voting?

There was no count overnight, all begin this morning

Going to be interesting seeing how the greens get on in Scotland.

They don't seem to be doing too well down south from what I can see.

I don't think there will be an SNP majority, but they will comfortably be the largest party.
Also think Reform will be second and provide the official opposition.

Will she hold her Tuscany South constituency though?
She is the dictionary definition of a champagne socialist.

I'm sure the council will tell us it's to do with the health and wellbeing of their employees and definitely nothing to do with having to pay them overtime 😏

I believe that will be the case, plus it allows the remote areas votes to be counted with the rest.

Wonder what the turnout percentage will be in Scotland. Not very promising if it follows the turnout down Englandshire......

According to the BBC, turnout in the English local elections was 43% – up 8 percentage points on 2025. That looks like a historic high for local elections in years where people are not also voting in a general election.

Paul Merton once described him as an unpainted fencepost

Aye just heard that the now. I think the bonkers greens have won Edinburgh central 😳
Mental, no fan of Robertson but who in there right mind votes for Slater 😂,where i stay in Leith there is a unusual amount of Greens placards in alot of windows.

Scottish Labour sources coming out with alot of negative stuff now about Anas Sarwar after backing him for months 🤣 think the writings on the wall then

Was always on the cards mate. Once Sarwar gets binned they will get a new political giant in charge 🤣🤣🤣🤣
