Rumour.

Dunno if we can take much stock from a guy who cant spell Hibernian but he does seem to have a good amount of followers.

Not really a surprise.
The bubble blowers wont be his only suitors.

To lose him and Chaiwa plus add on to what we already need it's gonna be a busy summer. Hope we don't get to pre season with no players in and hearing the usual excuses.

Both leave the day before the 2nd leg of whatever euro tie
Leave us up shit creek
Can't help but feel like this is quite a likely scenario.

Is it just me, or -- like, I know we've always been a selling club, that's just the reality. But it feels like over the last few years, we see less and less of the outstanding players we bring to the club? Or is that just recency bias? The likes of Bowie, Chaiwa, Mulligan, it just feels like we hardly even get a season out of them before "cheerio". (Acknowledging the role injuries play here, too.)

Was just making this exact point on a Hibs Whatsapp chat. Any kind of form shown by any of our players and it feels like it's "cheery" :bye:

Barely even get half a season out of our top performers and they're out the door. I know he's recently departed for the Huns, but Shankland for me has been far and away the outstanding striker in the league for years and the Gunts got 4 years out of him. Feel like sometimes we need to put the product on the park first.

It's the silly season though so this could all be BS.

Us collectively are half the problem. A player has a good 6months at the cabbage and half the fan boards are salivating at the prospect of selling them.

Its a hangover from the farmer/petrie days imo

Or we don't want us to sell, then when we actually hold on instead of selling they turn against us and we go mad that we didn't.

Youan, Nisbet being recent examples

I agree.

But just on Shankland, I'm no sure he's really good enough to play anywhere else, that'll pay similarly.
But he's clever enough to make up for his shortfalls.

Hunco couldn't afford him 2 years ago, then he had a bad year going into last summer so wasn't wanted.
Hearts paid him their best ever contract to keep him for 3 years (ahem 😂) and he finally gets the Hunco move.

He's a top end SPL forward, but physically he's held back from managing anywhere else it seems.

They'll lose all their players with potential soon, same as we would.

Shankland was garbage last year

Sometimes we don't even get to see them!

I'm sure we've lost a couple of youngsters to English clubs for a decent wedge. A possible reason we're not seeing as many as we might come through our academy.

Keeping the Mulligan, McGrath, Chaiwa trio needs to be a priority.

Some explaining will need to be done if we lose one or more of them.

Might not be much to explain.
Received an offer, player wants to go
All parties happy.

McGrath least likely to go I think. Then Chaiwa.
Mulligan will have interest. No chance he doesn't look incredible on a spreadsheet.

No explanation necessary.
If the money is right they will go.
Mulligan and Chaiwa.
McGrath has little sell on in comparison.
