Rumour.

I'm intrigued. Does LJ take an active part in training IE a playing part?

Aye, he plays in the games with them.

Hibs story is LJ went to block a shot from JDH, aggravated something that was already there apparently.

Trained for another week and ended up getting surgery for a chipped bone in his ankle.

Sorry if posted elsewhere but Nixon has us interested in some Burnley player, Long but the Sheep are also interested. Anyone know if this is genuine?

It's talked about on this very thread. Post 382 onwards.

Johnson away according tae Twitter, announceme the morn.

LJs comments post match mean one of two things for me:
1. He has the full backing of the board for a clear-out; 2. He is digging at the board.

The latter, he’s basically telling them to sack him.

He deserves to go, a decent manager would find a way to get points on the board with the players available. He hasn’t, he’s looked clues from day one. But he’s not the root of the problem.

If he'd built on the Livi game and showed improvement against Celtic and Hearts he'd have rightly bought himself some more time. Once the downward spiral starts with results very seldom do managers make a recovery.

Twitter reporting 2 Bundesliga clubs are entering a bidding war with Udinese for Porteous. The link to the news article doesn’t say who the clubs are though

Shame the war only means wages 😪

We can try get as much as we can, but where he goes is up to him, the price won't be very negotiable.

Hibs don't have to let him go just now unless they're (relatively) happy with the fee.

Doesn't mean we're getting big bucks,
Half a mil and he's off this month.

If Hibs get better than that then I think they've done good business.

Good move for Portoeus and a good fee in the circumstances for Hibs.

That money needs reinvesting ASAP. A new centre half, a right back, and a ball winning midfielder at the minimum. No rough diamonds either, quality players.

Aye players that fit right in straight away. No weeks of waiting for fitness or young laddies.

They haven’t really though Hammi, we all know that, but I get your point.
We are losing one of our best assets, arguably, and getting peanuts.

I appreciate there is a lot of factors to consider before the outcome but, it is abysmal business by Hibs.

I get that, and long game, definitely, horrible business.

Udinese deal being done in this month and Porto is being loaned to Watford for the season.
That makes absolutely no sense. If Watford wanted him why not just buy themselves? If they were waiting to get him for nothing I can see Udinese signing him and loaning him to Watford and there'll be no fee, but surely Watford can afford £500k if they want him now?

Is there a financial benefit in his registration transferring out of the uk?

As others pointed out both clubs are owned by the same owner. This comes from a very good source and I shared that with someone on here when I was told. Now that it is in the press that talks have progressed I thought I would post what I was told.
