Rugby Union

Rugby union is far and away my favourite sport
Three things really bug me though.

Not calling full time until the ball is out. The clock has been in operation the whole game to ensure 80 minutes played so when the clock hits 80 the game should be over.

The ref shouting "use it" the split second the ball looks like emerging from a scrum or maul. Give them a chance, they're going to use it.

Swing low sweet chariot 😡

Bloddy nora I bet jones to score, the lions to be leading at 20 mins, finns kick hits the post and bet goes down 😩

All blacks go 51 tests unbeaten at Eden Park. Nothing comparable in world rugby and without checking I'd doubt in world sport. Remember we're talking top class International opponents.

What a start to the day, signs are good, all blacks turnover wallabies 💪🇳🇿
Great reply after being gubbed by the springboks two weeks ago 👏

Heading down on Sunday for the Argentina match.
First ever ( full) international for me.
Been to Murrayfield a couple of times, but that was for the Rugby League Magic weekend.
Nice birthday pressie from my kids.
GC, me and a few mates have for years talked about going to a Magic Weekend. How was it?

It was fine. Murrayfield was far too big a venue though. It lacked atmosphere.
A smaller venue would have been better.
Also attended 2 Grand Finals at Old Trafford.
Totally different gig. Place was full both times, but then it is the biggest rugby league game of the year apart from the Challenge Cup final.
Dont know how the MW works at St James in Newcastle, but its been there a few years now so it must be doing ok.
The accomodation cost goes nuts when its on, so if youre going stay out of the city and travel in.
Unless you're mega rich???
Maybe think of driving down both days?
Not too far from the central belt to do that?

Cheers dude. Aye it was Newcastle we fancied and talked about, make a proper weekend of it etc. Good shout on the accomodation, hadn't thought of that as yet. We'd defo be after that rather than driving I think; would smash a breath test if pulled, and not in a good way!

We did look at it a couple of years ago , but the price on hotels etc was crazy.
At least double in most cases.
And it will be heavier now what with inflation.

Aye no doubt. Like you say, best with somewhere a wee bit further out, then just taxi it. Splitting the fares between a bunch of us would work out.

I say all this like we haven't just talked about it for years, but never actually got it sorted! Life eh, it does get in the way.. One day.

Murrayfield tomorrow for me.
Peterhead v Montrose today.
Monday onward; thawing of nether regions.
Probably with a naked flame.......

What channel?
Tnt
