Tickets for the Hunnery go on sale on Tuesday. Nae doubt I'm getting one. Hibs say just over 1000 on sale.

Question is: should I camp out overnight like for the Hearts tickets? Have the club given any word on plans for that? I assume a lot of fans will want to go so it will be necessary.

Tickets go on sale at 10am mate - Imagine folk will que Daft o'clock cause online will be a lottery. Infact both will be lottery. That many folk. Want to go get yourself down ER at daft o'clock

We really need to improve our ticketing system if the best shot people have is going and standing in a line for 7 or 8 hours. Bring back loyalty points, don't give them for HSL etc.

No doubt, scrapping the scheme was to please the plastic fans that couldn't get tickets.

There were people using the threat of not buying a season ticket as a lever to get the club to scrap the loyalty points system. They argued that they should have the same chance of going to the likes of the Bus Shelter as anyone else and got what tbey wanted.

Of course, it generates a scramble like the one tomorrow or the prospect of signing up to the AST and be in the position of having to pay for every away game whether you can go or not.

By rewarding HSL membership they sullied the loyalty scheme for many. This created the climate to get rid of it but, as predicted, we now have the prospect of a scrum tomorrow. I don't know what makes us so different to all the other clubs up and down the country that operate loyalty systems.

Agreed

It annoyed me when people said that loyalty points "created an exclusive tier of fans" who would always get the tickets for away games. There was nothing to stop anybody going to 99% of our away games when loyalty points were in place, but of course it was the same band of Hibees who actually went. Why shouldn't they have first dibs on tickets for the games when everyone comes out of the woodwork?

Yup - I seem to remember that those voices were far louder and more prevalent than HSL ones.

For me, for childcare reasons mainly, I'm a "home games only" ST holder. However, I do get along to the odd away game per season, and cup games. So that put me behind regular away supporters, but in front of "ER only" STs and walk-ups, which I saw as being entirely fair and proportionate. Mystifying to me how some simply couldn't see it this way.

There were people on here advocating getting rid of the loyalty scheme. I think 1875 asked for their conments when the loyalty scheme was scrapped but got no response.

Everyone will always be influenced by self interest but most can see that loyalty to home games can be handled differently to away game loyalty. Gone are the days of us having so few ST holders that having one guaranteed you priority for everything.

Any away season ticket holders bank account been deducted yet? Mines not.

Its the fairest way possible but seeing how certain people within the club operate recently absolutely nothing surprises me anymore .
Its almost as as if they try to piss folk off deliberately

Laddie is not long in (having travelled along Albion Road) and says there are people queuing already.

12 hours wait. In 2017...

Back to the dark ages, sanctioned by our board.

Indeed.

Heard from someone we know who is queuing that there's nearly 30 folk there already and they will account for just over 100 tickets between them. Madness.

My mate drove down from Montrose and is currently in the queue. With the loyalty point scheme still in place he'd have got a ticket no problem.

Whilst the loyalty thing is perfectly valid, and being demonstrated as such as I type, isn't the bigger issue the paltry allocation of tickets? Is there not a rule which guarantees a sensible percentage of tickets for away fans should they wish to take up the allocation?

Given many Hibees who would want to go to this one will be excluded we'll be cutting their allocation at ER right? Won't we? If any fan, no matter how casual/lapsed/glory can't get in because we've handed over 3000+ tickets because it's "easy", that's ridiculous.

It says it all, people having to drive hundreds of miles to queue all night.

On another note and worryingly, they have still not deducted anything from my bank for my away season ticket tickets? They said it would be done yesterday.

15 mins in inet queue...thought I was in luck when I got through the queue...but tried buying single ticket in every section...and zilch!

Take it all back. Refresh refresh and one last time before going into work and one popped up in basket 2 mins ago.

I we told today that the since1875 group got up to 100 tickets for the game without having to queue or phone or go online. If this is the case then there is something dodgy going on at ER

Just to clarify
Since 1875 DID NOT get 100 tickets or anything like that & the few that did are all ST holders & go home & away week in , week out

I think they queued like others

Or maybe they are away ST holders ?

Me and 1875 didn't queue or phone or go online for our tickets either. That away season ticket scheme is really dodgy..

Mine dropped though my letterbox on Thursday Morning as the club promised. I was impressed.

That is some accusation to make. Did it ever enter your head that there's probably at least 100 of them have away season tickets? The only thing that may have happened here is that they have been given a block of tickets so they are seated together?

Doubt the young team have that many away season tickets

Shame that it's untrue, would rather have 100 of them than anybody who wants to sit down.
