New Prime Minister.

Going to be Bozo the Clown isn't it? I have that awful, falling feeling in my stomach this was all planned diversions to let him sneak back in.

I do have a stomach bug however, so could just be that.

Maybe could be the Moggster? But they will be moving heaven and earth to avoid a general election. Prepare for "Cleverly" level BS.

In order for them to have any faint hope of winning the election in 2024 it will be Sunak.
Problem is half the tory membership and their MP's blame him for knifing Boris Johnson.
I still think it will be him though...if not him then Mordaunt or Hunt...although I think Hunt will want to stay as chancellor in a Sunak government.
There really should be an election now though...however they won't call one when they are so far behind Labour in the polls.

The BBC are currently informing us that the leadership contest could get complicated if there's more than one candidate (ie. if there is a contest...)

The membership seems to be made up of 200,000+ retirees in the Home Counties so Sunak doesn't have a chance even though he's their best chance of winning the next election.

They are so far behind in the polls that I think the only one that would be willing to touch it with a barge pole is Boris.

The Tory membership would never vote for Sunak. Old folk with blue rinses, regimental blazers and big gardens don’t like brown faces

Well they didn't the last time right enough.
He's he current favourite though.
I'll bet the rules are changed regarding the vote and they will engineer it to get him in.
They know he is the one Labour fear the most.

Hunts ruled himself out.

Does anyone actually know the demographics, I suspect there are lot more northern tory members than we would expect nowadays.

Cut n paste below ...

In terms of demographics, January 2020 research by the Queen Mary University Party Members Project suggested Conservative members are more male, older, more concentrated in the South and more well off than the general population.

Some 58% are aged over 50, 39% of whom are older than 65. According to the latest Office for National Statistics (ONS) data, the median age of the UK population is 40

Of the total membership, 63% are male. According to the ONS, the UK is 49% male

The membership is concentrated in London and the South of England, with 56% living in those areas. Just 6% of members live in Scotland.

She will only be replaced by another right wing greedy bastard.
And the fuckers will get voted in at the next G.E. , make no mistake.
The British electorate have the shortest memory , and most gullible nature of any species to ever grace this planet.
Another few weeks of Britain drifting towards the cliffs. I loose sleep at nights , saddened that we are still a part of this horror show. 😓😓😓😓😓😓😓😓😓

Probably, but I’ve got to say I think the analysis that they won’t vote for someone based on their skin colour is spot on.

Most diverse cabinet they said…and in days she managed to sack the high ranking people of colour.

Being well up on politics I put my bet on Norman Tebbit..or maybe Nigel Farage

Thanks. So just over half live in the south, the most populous part of Britain? Lets be honest they are red necked, gammon faced fucknuggets, all of them, regardless of geography.

Much as the lettuce thing is funny, in reality I actually would choose the lettuce as PM over the rest of them. The best thing about the previous leadership contest was that for two months they didn't do anything and thus couldn't make a c**t of anything. They should just install the lettuce as caretaker PM and have a two year leadership contest so they don't make matters any worse before the next election.

Although you, or indeed I, could argue that 2 months of limbo caused as much damage.

Why couldn't they a week like they're doing this time?
