Probably taken them as far as he can. Don't like the guy very much but overall he did a good job. The timing of his departure is not the best.

Certainly got good league results think their fans hated the style of football though and they bottled a few cup games as well think motherwell beat them in a couple of semi finals when they were miles below them in the league.

True they were a crap footballing side but managed to grind out results.
 
Only surprise is the timing.

He's been Aberdeen's best manager since Ferguson, but he has been there far too long. He's taken them as far as he can.

Thought he would have gone at the end of the season, but they clearly think the time is right to do it now and get a new boss in to give them a lift to try to get third place.

Where does that leave Robinson, Glass and Dame Judi Dench who were all strongly rumoured in Cyberland?
 
Have the sheep given up on 3rd?

Will the sheep get the bounce effect from a new manager? Even if he's just a temp fill in?

Will any bounce back last till the end of the season? The sheep, from memory, need a decent gap at the split as they tend to hang on a bit in the final games.

It's the sort of bold plan that you'd read a forum, but unlikely to have come from their board. They are three points behind us and we're hardly running away with it.

This has got to have been a genuine mutual consenting or something behind the scenes.
 
Suspect their plan will be

A) Usual result at Pittodrie
B) Settle back and watch them implode
