Little things that annoy you.

Next it'll morph into 'cheers for the years', then it'll go all political and become an attack on Keir Cheer Year or summat...🤮

Just to introduce a wee bit seriousness and straying into egb territory, as I reject all religions, and as we all know xmas day is just some made up bollocks, 'xmas' is a decent compromise.
Have a good one everybody 👍🙏
It’s not an Ex it’s a Chi. The symbol below is a Chi Rho, one of the earliest Christian symbols and an abbreviation of Christ. If you are ever in a Catholic Church you will likely see it.

Edit - it might have been helpful to explain these are Greek letters. X = Chi , P = Rho

So Xmas is an abbreviation of Christmas, although I mind one of my school teachers doing her dinger about it.

Just having a wee nose through Jambo’s kickback, makes for great reading 🤣🤣🤣

Noticed the “this is how we’re feeling tonight” thread disappears whenever they get a pumping. 🤣

Anyhoo, things that annoy me…..those fuckers over on kickback, grown up men and women writing FTH on their postings that aren’t even anything about us is quite worrying.

What the actual fuck is that all about??

Bastards. I had told myself to ignore them but my inner good guy won out today. I stood back to let a pregnant Russian lady and her husband through a door first. There was no need as I was a good bit in front of them. Both sailed past without a word or a glance. Arrogant *&*^. It's well known in Thailand anyway this behaviour is commonplace. Did I mention they were *&*^. I hope Putin sends out snatch squads to take the fuckers home. See how arrogant they'll be in a trench.
Common place it would seem in Russia. I worked in Sakhalin for many years and started to let the doors swing in their faces until a good mate said “don’t let yourself be dragged down to their level” and started to hold doors open again. The Russians to a person never changed and still just barged through held open doors.
Having said that they were mostly polite and friendly in other aspects. Just doors 🤔

Similarly the Dutch are known for their directness and lack of obfuscation.

However, the downsides of this include complete blindness in certain situations like tonight when I approach the exit of the supermarket with two obviously heavy bags (mainly booze but let's not get all moralistic here).

It's a small exit portal and I regularly give way to folk on motorised wheelchairs, crutches etc.

But I am heavily laden and head off to the right at the portal to get to my bike in the stand for that purpose.

A youngish (30-40) guy appears coming in from the right to start his shop. Me, a reasonably obv 67 year old, am heading for him, expecting him to move left. Nae chance, he stands his place in front of me and I have to head left and around to get to my bike.

As I pass him I let loose a well-deserved breathy sigh and pass him. Behind me I hear, "Blimey, no need to be like that!". I head on, heedless, no looking back. Dutch directness can also be rude, they just won't give way unless you are driving a juggernaut. Pissed me off.

Have you got a trailer on your bike for they heavy bags 😩

Used to get annoyed with drivers always not using the bus lanes outside the "legal" times. Now I enjoy it, as I use the bus lane very often to skip about 20 cars queing on the outside lane

Drivers who don't signal.
Slavers who seem to get on in life by talking shite.
Parents who ignore their kids by constantly texting or checking stuff on their phones.
Oh aye...and Phones being raised at gigs.
Folk constantly gong to the bar/toilet at gigs, chatting at gigs, and drinking at gigs. FFS you have paid good money to see/hear a band. If you want to get talk constantly and get pished go to the pub instead.
All that nonsence with phones gets to me as well, just enjoy the event as the chance of you ever watching what you video are very little. Also wherever a demonstration is, there are hundreds holding their phones up to catch Police/opposition out etc, most end up simply incriminating their own mates. I'd bring out a law against using phones in public to take pics :lookaround:

That’s because folk have a distrust of the system and are just avoiding any likelihood of the brown enveloped bus lane fine dropping through their letterbox. Whether it’s wrong or not it’s still up to the driver to prove the system’s error. Remember, the skint council is the organisation that runs the bus lanes.

Aye that’s what keeps me away from bus lanes - that and the fact that I’m never really in that big a hurry. I watched a lassie in a Range Rover last week on the Peterhead bypass - phone held with both hands on top of the steering wheel, so intent on texting that she had slowed right down and built a queue of cars behind her.

Using "lol" in place of a full stop.
I've just read an email from an ex colleague enquiring about my well being and telling me he's just about to retire. A lovely guy and very nice of him but he finished 5 sentences with "lol"

Fb putting hints to follow all and sundry, I must delete 50 a day ffs . Any advice how to stop them 😡

Even though my online bank has told me a transfer to my Paypal account has happened, Paypal still saying I'll see it in seven days 😡😡😡😡

Leave the banking to my better half. She is a must more scary pissed off from portobello than me. Just a stare from her is usually enough. 🤣🤣
On the subject of banks - we bought a car last month and needed to transfer £5k from our Virgin Money a/c to our Santander a/c. Cue a one hour visit to the branch, questioned by the manager as to the purpose of the transfer etc. All this despite having banked there for 50 years! Then a week ago we wanted to pay a few hundred in cash into our daughter’s a/c (at the same branch) and were told we’d have to pay it into our a/c then transfer it to her’s. Common sense has gone out the window.

This was all in front of a queue of people who knew I was walking out with 6 grand in my pocket

The good thing is though BK she will be studying in Dundee.
Her nana lives up there so Louise will be her financial responsibility 😆
