Little things that annoy you.

There'd still be wankers in vans and BMW's who'd continue as far as they could before forcing their way in at the front.

Grab them from their seats and put them to death at the side of the road.
The point is they have driven as far as they're allowed to. Now they need to merge in. Angry folk who've been in the left lane for the last few hundred yards and now close up nose to tail with the car in front thus stopping proper merging are the problem

Those dafties on bikes who have bairns in wee trailer type things.
Those lads on the horizontal bike thingies are the ones that get me. With their wee flag poles on the back so folk can see them. They just look so absurd it annoys me.

There was one chap I haven’t seen for a while who’d built a handmade chassis around his as if it was some kind of rocket or something. A rocket inside it more like.

You may find that many of these people have spinal or back problems.

Supermarkets moving their stock to different aisles after you've finally remembered where everything is. 🤬
I went off on a store manager once about this. I asked him why do you make your customers go on this time wasting scavenger hunt, stop it!! It all comes from corporate I was told.

There's a whole lot of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and general psychology used in the design and layout of supermarkets.

Most supermarkets are designed for you to walk around in an anti-clockwise direction. Some say this is simply due to more people being right-handed. Some say that higher concentration of Dopamine in the left side of the brain through looking to the left can cause more attention in the right.

Most people probably know that essentials such as bread and milk don't tend to be grouped together meaning you have to navigate more shelves/items even for a simple shop for these important goods.

There are rarely any clocks on the walls, in order that you're not reminded that you're short of time and need to leave.

Relaxed low-tempo music may be played in order that you take your time in there and buy more.

Up-tempo music may be played at very busy times to encourage people to hurry their shopping, allowing more shoppers into the store.

Ends of rows are highly sought after and expensive to have your food/items displayed as they are hot-spots for shoppers who expect reduced goods etc.

Most people will recognise in addition, design features such as more expensive items being at eye level and less expensive items being at the foot of the shelves. The preponderence of red stickers which draw the eye but don't necessarily denote genuine reductions or special offers. Then there are those shelves for impulse buys at the checkouts such as sweets, small gadgets and so on.

It's a battlefield out there I tell ya!

Keep you looking and picking up more as you go
A simple variation on that theme in department stores is the elevator layout. Efficiency would suggest you could go all the way up or all the way down on the same side of the elevator stack, but instead each floor is an up / down pair. I reckon that’s so you have to walk round to the other side each time, and potentially get snagged into a purchase on the way.

In our office we use light switches with sensors to detect if someone is in the room. If the sensor does not detect any movement after 20 minutes or so, the lights will turn off. If you then walk in the room, the lights conveniently turn on for you. There are one or two people go round the office turning the lights off with the actual switch which disables the motion sensor. If I walk in a dark room and the effing lights don't go on, I lose my effing mind!! It takes but a moment to turn around and switch the light on but I really do lose my shit.

The other one is people who put a near empty or empty coffee pot back on the hot plate. WTF is up with that?!! Turn the effing thing off !!

Coffee shops. people sat in them all day, nursing a cup of coffee, laptop open on a table for four.

Very much empathise, but my eyes were opened on this during Covid and through the experience of people I know. Lots of folk have shitty conditions at home for working, no office to go to, and / or are very isolated as remote workers.

It’s still annoying as feck but I also now have a bit more empathy with their position also.

People that sit through a drive thru four cars deep and still spend minutes scrambling around looking for there purse or wallet. You've had fuckin 5 minutes from ordering to have your shit in order!

I may have experienced that 10 min ago waiting for my food and admittedly hangry 😡

See also when at a supermarket queue or getting on a bus and the lady in front starts rummaging through a cavernous hand bag!

Never mind Stu, Nov 1st the morn, so Chrismas songs are imminent. That'll put me in fuckin Supermarket Sweep mode, knocking like tenpins, unexpecting fat men and women, fellow pensioners and kids in the wake of my trolley.

BIG G

Better man than me, G. There's no way I'm braving Christmas songs, online it is again!

Did somebody mention music?

How about when you’re trying to watch a tv documentary or something and the presenter is explaining what it’s all about and they have fucking music playing pointlessly where you then cannie hear what the presenter is saying.

Same goes for when your watching the start of the news and they’re giving a précis of the show’s content and they’ve got the theme tune tinkling away supposedly as background but it drowns out the dialogue. 🤬🤬🤬🤬

When apps on your firestick stop working so you uninstall and reinstall.

And uninstall and reinstall.

Then you find out today that the reason was your subscription ran out.

Ah well all ist good now

I thought I had mentioned this before but can't see it so maybe I just thought about it.
Men, old *&*^ like me, in a pub with fairly loud music, extravagantly miming the words, weird facial expressions and arm waving.
This behaviour reaches deep within me and switches on "judgemental old prick mode"
Probably not annoying, more UTTERLY CRINGEY!
Dinnae!
