Little things that annoy you.

Paddy fucking McGuinness

Talentless Tosser
Just switched the radio on briefly earlier to hear him relating a story about doing a DJ set getting pissed, asking his driver to stop and throwing up on the hard shoulder of the motorway dressed in his skids. Nice Sunday morning fayre. Boak.

Seriously, I strongly suspect he exaggerates that Bolton accent.

If I remember correctly, he was one of Peter Kay’s best pals at school and had never acted before until PK got him in for the part of Paddy O’Shea in Phoenix Nights.
Fair play to him making a career off the back of that.

The funny thing is I love both Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy which he appeared in and he has some very funny moments. Anything outside of that, not so much.

Does it let you buy shandy?
Good question. It probably does. Shandy is in the soft drinks aisle so probably not counted as alcohol while the zero alcohol beer sits with the beers and spirits so I'm guessing that's how the self-service checkouts are programmed to work. 🤷‍♂️

Non-Alcoholic Beer Age Is Restricted In UK Supermarkets
Non-alcoholic beers are age-restricted in supermarkets or drinks retailers because they often carry the same branding as their alcoholic counterparts, which could be seen as promoting drinking to minors.

Fly tippers! This sight greeted me yesterday, half a mile from my house and - more annoyingly - one and a half miles from a recycling centre. Nae wonder the country’s a fvckin mess.
In truth , that's nae a little thing.
It's a crime .
Hopefully there will be something there to give away an identity.

That lot has literally fell off the back of a lorry. Anyone turning up at a council dump in a commercial vehicle has to book a slot online and also pay a fee to dispose of the cargo. So that’s why there’s fly tipping due to the inconvenience of having to jump through the hoops of the council website and why pay a fee if you can get away with just dumping it anywhere. There’s also the possibility that the council will refuse your refuse if there’s hazardous materials that needs specialist disposal. Ultimately the council has to clear it up.

That’s true - the bureaucracy doesn’t make it any easier and the result is that people will risk a big fine rather than suffer a minor cost and inconvenience.

It doesn't make it easy.
We can no longer take cardboard to the local skip site even though the pharmacy pays for the privilege of dumping waste there.
It has to be taken to Ellon( 17 miles away)
Macduff( 32 miles away), or Banchory( 40+ miles).
And the council are always on about the Carbon footprint?

Aye, the old story of the left hand and the right hand?

Can confirm. I'm in East Renfrewshire and I'm £52 a year for my brown bin.
We don’t have brown bins here - only black, blue and orange. But if I were to bin all my grass clippings in the summer I’d fill a wheelie bin every 2 days or so. I guess gardens in towns are much smaller in general though. Perhaps that’s why so many people have artificial grass nowadays - an abomination IMHO.

Plenty righteous tenants dumping grass along an old disused road( now a cycle path/ walkway) that runs parallel to the by pass.
Not to mention tree branches and flower cuttings.

All Scottish adverts on STV. Every single one of them get on my nerves or maybe it's the shite I have to watch on said channel. Maybe just STV and how crap and cheap it is all round.

STV app is a bag of fvcking nails.

I would happily use said nails to smash them into my eyes when it's playing. Especially that unfunny wifie on the bank of scotland advert. Now there's a massive thing that annoys me. :9:

Shocking.
I recently found two black bin bags dumped in some woods next to me. It was bin day. Clearly someone from my street (no vehicle access for a fair bit). Wildlife and then dogs had ripped the bags apart.
Nappies, cigarette packets and shit food wrappers.
I had a wee squint to see if I could see anything with an address, but didnae go too far in (not sure what else I may have come across and nae gloves with me). I’d have gladly dumped it all in their garden if I’d identified them!
Even households have to book a slot at a tip, but that dumping was just fecking stupidity. Rubbish strewn on your own doorstep ffs.

I do a bit of gardening/landscaping for friends/family and recently did some work for a friend who wanted turf and a patio for his new house. I kid you not turf made up about 10% of the new estate - the rest was plastic, slabs or chips, awful.
