Little things that annoy you.

The incessant need for reporters outside the news studio as if them standing 100 yards down the road from Fred West’s hoose in the dark adds anything to the fucking story!!
There were three of them outside broadcasting after the Southport stabbings - two of them outside hospitals where some victims were being treated. What was the point of that except an inordinate waste of money.

Does my nut in!!

Clothes measurements being a load of bollocks.

I bought a pair of dress trousers and a pair of jeans from the same brand recently both labeled as my size (36" waist, 34" leg). Both slim fit. The jeans need a belt and flop around my trainers at the ankle. Trousers are clinging on for dear life and look like I'm dressed for a flood.

Fuck. Off. Wi. That. Shite.
😂 agree. M&S 34” inch jeans fit me nicely. - tried on a pair of M&S trousers - the 38” were too tight and nae 40” to compare.
Went to Slaters - first pair of Farah 34” tried were bang on!

Self checkout at the grocery store annoys me and I refuse to use them. Also in the grocery store, people who leave their shopping cart blocking the aisle or in any manner that causes me the slightest inconvenience. Pets in the grocery store (or any place really) is another peeve of mine. Digital coupons, where I have to scan a QR code to get the sale price. The packer at the grocery store who puts two items in a bag or puts the eggs in the bag first then chucks in the tins to tomatoes, 5lb bag of tatties etc on top of the eggs. The person in front of me at the checkout who has to query the price that rung up on every item. Then it comes as a surprise they have to pay for their groceries and go digging into their bag looking for their purse.

Goin to the grocery store just triggers me. From the minute I back out the driveway until two hours after I get home I am in a state of rage.

I feel your pain. My only difference to you is that I try to use the self service rather than a checkout. Means I don’t have to speak to some stranger making small talk just because it’s company policy to make the customer feel valued. Just shut the fuck up, scan my shopping through and ask if I need a receipt (I use contactless so never require a receipt for groceries). Then let me go in as quick a time as possible.

For years my son went to a barber who spoke very little English as he knew there'd be no small talk.

The other extreme bugs me too though. When I'm as prepared as possible and the kid at Lidl is flinging stuff through at 300mph.

Just yesterday I had to flash one of them an "are you fucking serious?" glare as produce was rattling my fingers faster than I could pack it.
Stick it in your basket/Trolley and take it over to the bagging shelf and you won't have that problem [which let's be honest, you've created by trying to pack your shopping as it comes through].

I've thought of something that gets my goat. Folk at a check out with a queue behind them who think they should be allowed the time to pack their shopping at the till instead of taking it to the bagging shelf :gigglle:

If everyone did that there would be a gridlock at the shelf.

I'm happy leaving it for old duffers that can't pack their shopping.

+1 Burbank

People that say " can I get", if I was the assistant at a shop I would be wanting to shout " no you can have it, I will get it. There is no rational reason why I hate it so much.

Because it's a straight borrowing from US English. Like 'from the get-go' and loadsa other expressions. But will all be standard UK English within a generation at least.

One of you has done it by accident I think. He didn't know why he couldn't read your tunes thread the other day.
It must be him then because I don't even know how to block a poster. I know I can be an obnoxious prick at times so thought I had perhaps offended him but I don't recall even conversing with him.

I forgot tipping! Maybe it's an American thing, but when I go into a fast food joint to order a sandwich and the screen pops up with 20%, 25% or other. The mear fact I have to go through the process of putting in 0% in front of the worker is a piss take!

People in airports with excess baggage.

Then have the cheek to moan about it to the airline.

Then start to pull out all the clothes etc out of suitcase.

Farmers who shell out for detailed soil analysis to determine accurate fertiliser requirements . . . then open the tailgate and dump 10 tons of Lime in a 30 mph wind, then moan about the cost of fertiliser.

I never expected to read that in the Bounce today...

Though I'm sure between @greencol and yourself the need for a certain type of fertiliser is minimal in the Blue Toon...
